Chapter 22~ Your Choice

After the movie let out Nick, Angela and Steve were chatting away about how good the movie was, and their favorite parts etc. Having no prior knowledge about the movie, and not really paying attention during it, I had nothing to add to the conversation.

Walking behind the three of them, I felt like I was third wheeling. Yes I know there are 4 people but still. We walked outside and I immediately spotted Brady and a new group of friends I haven't met yet across the parking lot. "Oh, I didn't know all of them were coming" Steve whispered to Nick, glancing back at me, not realizing I could hear them. "Who are they?" I speak up. "Um, well, they're some of Brady's friends but they aren't the greatest influences." Nick tells me.

Just then Brady spots us and comes running to our group. Hugging me he picked me up and spun me around. "Hi Tammy" he said kissing me on the cheek. Even though I was feeling down and confused that small gesture brightened my mood. But only to confuse me more. I smile back with a hello as he wrapped his arm around me. "Who are those people?" I ask him, seeing what he will tell me. "Oh them? They're just a different group of friends that I sometimes hang out with." he replied looking nervous.

The three boys that Brady was with then began to walk over to us. "So is this the girl you've been telling us about?" one of them said, him being the largest in stature out of all of us. "Yeah, this is Tammy. Tammy, this is David, Terrence, and William." They all wave and I smile back, tongue tied for some reason. Then I see it. The look in Davids eyes captured me. it was a look of lust and desire, and I knew exactly what Nick meant by "bad influence".

Squirming out Brady's arm, still holding Davids gaze, I went and stood behind Nick and Steve. Angela must have seen the look as well because she came over and link her arm in mine. "What was that?" Brady asked harshly, turning towards my group. "I, uh, I want to leave now" I mumbled, looking from Nick to David, who gave me a smirk. "Tammy we just got here though.  Don't you want to hang out with me?" Brady pleaded wandering over to me.

Taking my hand in his he gave me puppy dog eyes. I could see that he truly wanted me to stay, but you could feel the tension in the air. "Yes I want to hang out with you. I just feel uncomfortable" I told his, the last part coming out in barley a whisper. "Dude you can just cone with us, we're going to go to the park." Steve said. "He's defending me" I thought. "Maybe Steve isn't as creepy as I thought."

Brady turned to look at his other friends.  Terrance and William griped at him, saying that he was with them first, how thy hadn't hung out in a while; things like that. David just shrugged his shoulders. "The choice is yours" David said in almost a mocking tone.  The three boys then turned and got in a black truck.

Brady glanced back at us, our eyes connecting. I could see the internal struggle he was going through. As much as he confused me, I knew that I didn't want him to be with those guys. I gave him a weak smile, and shrugged as well.

"They're right. I haven't seen them in a while." Brady said walking over to me. "You're still going to come to Ammons concert with us tomorrow, right? " I nodded my head as he wrapped his arms around me. "Good, so I'll see you tomorrow then." I nodded again, tears threatening to spill. "See you later star fish" he said, leaving me with a kiss on the forehead.  I forced a smile. "He seriously is picking them" I thought as he walked and got in the truck with them.

Nick must have read my mind because he pulled me into an embrace. "I hate when he's with them." he said, rubbing my back. I let out the sob I had been holding back. "Shhh it's okay. I'd be mad to" Steve said joining in on comforting me. I pulled away. "He can hang out with them after I leave! I'm only going to be here for two more days." I said frustrated. All the emotion I had been feeling the past few days spilled out as Steve hugged me this time.

After a few minutes we walked to where both of our cars were parked. "I think I'm just going to go back to my hotel. Thanks for inviting me though. You guys are the best."  I smiled and gave each of them a hug. "If you need anything don't hesitate to call" Nick said as I hugged him. "It was nice meeting you Tammy." Angela said. I still couldn't believe how perfect she was. "Bye Star Fish,  see you tomorrow!" Steve called out, distracting me from my thoughts. I smiled and waved back as they got in their car and drive away.

Getting in my car I checked the time. I still had a couple hours before I was supposed to be home. Just then a my phone rang. It was a text from Ammon. Without even reading the text I hit call. He answered on the first ring.

Hi guys.. Sorry about the short update but I'm leaving for college tomorrow!! So the next time I update will be in my dorm room in Montana o.o Thanks so so much for all the reads!! I love you all<3
