Chapter 20~ 4th of July

(A/N okay, so the next few chapters are just a continuation of the same day. It just ended up being really really long so I figured I would break it up, ya know leave you with cliff hangers ;) Enjoy!!)

*Ammon's Point of View*

I looked at my phone, it was 3:24 am. I've been laying in my bed just staring at the ceiling, not being able to sleep a wink. As I continuously checked my phone for a reply back from Tammy, the same thoughts ran through my head.

 "She runs from you and I comfort her" 

"I'd rather my heart breaks then hurt her any more."

I couldn't believe I said what I did to Brady.  I mean, every word I said was the complete truth, but that doesn't lessen the pain at all. I checked my phone again. "It's only been 5 minutes, I really have got to stop doing that" I say out loud. Trying to fall back asleep, I knew it wasn't going to happen; I had a plane flight at 7 meaning I had to wake up in two hours anyways. I got up and got my uke out. Playing random songs, I found myself playing Stay With Me by Sam Smith.  I teared up a bit. "This seems to be happening a lot lately, every song describing my feelings.

I headed out to my garage and set up my video recorder. "I'll record this and post on instagram. Get my feelings out there. Maybe it'll help, and maybe Tammy will see it." I kicked the chair. "I need to stop thinking about her! She doesn't want me, I'll only hurt her." I yelled at myself. Starting to cry I went and picked up the chair. I sit with my head in my hands and calm myself down. Taking deep breaths, I'm finally stable and record the video.

Immediately after posting the video, and even hours after comments were rolling in. Not one was from Tammy though. "I don't know why I would think she would say anything." I thought." I guess I was just trying to decrease the pain with the thought she could be mine." I looked at the clock, it was 5:30 "Duh that's why she hasn't replied yet, she's probably asleep" I think. I figured I should get ready to head to the airport to catch my flight to Utah. Tonight we were performing in Clearfield for their 4th of July celebration. I needed to clear my mind and get focused, that way there would be no distractions from you-know-who.

*Tammy's Point of View*

I woke up with a head ache. You know, the ones you get after crying yourself to sleep? They're the worst, however I was still just as confused as ever. I got up and got in the shower and planned on washing the redness from my eye; except I ended up just crying more. "W-why am I even crying, this is so s-stupid." I said into the water. My memories from my dream last night kept resurfacing.

"Tammy! Tammy!" I kept hearing my name being called, but couldn't locate the owner. I was desperately running around an empty forest, or at least I hoped it was empty. "Tammy!" It was Ammon. I recognized his voice finally, but still had no clue where he was. Tears were starting to form in my eyes, blurring my vision. I was hopelessly lost and no matter how far I ran it all looked the same. I ran past a building and realized I was in the forest from the game Slender Man. It began to get dark, and suddenly I heard a rustling in the near-by bushes. "I'm going to die" I thought, stopping in my tracks. "W-who's  there?" I called out. "Great now I'm becoming one of those stupid people in horror movies that calls out to their killer" I think afterward. Turning to run, I ran straight into a figure. Screaming, I try to get away but I'm being held tight by my shoulders. "Shh. Yelling isn't going help you here star fish." I freeze, recognizing the voice. I look up and see the perfect crooked smile glisten under the moon light while reflecting off of the figures blonde hair, making me gasp.

Then I woke up.

This one is short, but I didn't know how else to break it up. And I really didn't want a super super long one, that way I can drag out the story bc it's ending soon! :( Thank you guys so much for 1.3k reads!
