Chapter 26~ Drunk in Love

"It was a couple years ago, soon after I turned 16. I was dating this girl named Sarah, and I know we were only 16 but she was the love of my life..." I started to tell Patch the story, starting at the very beginning, the part that I dreamed about.

(FlashBack)

I tossed and turned all night, something didn't feel right. I sat up in my bed going over the events of the day. "I didn't leave anything unfinished" I said to myself, thinking maybe my OCD mind was having a panic attack. That wasn't it. I replayed the day up until I went to hang out with my girl friend Sarah at the park. We were meeting the new kid at school, Nick; Sarah wanted to hook him up with her best friend Angela. I didn't think it would work out, Angela's twin brother Brady is to protective over her. They seemed to get a long, however. "Nothing weird happened at the park" I said out loud, trying to calm my senses. That's when I remembered who showed up as we were leaving.

 We were all sitting at the park, me with my girl friend of 4 months Sarah, my best friend Brady, Sarah's best friend and Brady's twin sister Angela, Steve and the new kid, Nick. The five of us had been best friends since we could walk. Actually, probably before we could walk. My parents and the other parents were friends during high school, and had kept a close connection afterwards, and even now. Sarah and Brady were always close, and I always have had a crush on Sarah. Sometimes it would make things awkward, you know how teenage boys are during puberty. But Sarah never seemed to mind, or feel anything different for me than just friends. That was until my 16th birthday party a few months ago. 

(flash back in the flashback haha;))

All my friends were sitting around a bonfire we put on at the beach. Sitting in a cirlce it goes like this: Me, Sarah, Brady, Angela, Steve David, Terrence, and William. We were the closest knit group of friends you would ever find. All being LDS and in the same ward, we've grown up together and had to stick together.

I was the youngest of the group, and today I turned 16. I was finally going to ask Sarah to be my girlfriend. We were best friends, and I only hoped she liked me the same way I liked her. During the bonfire I braved it and took Sarahs hand in mine. She looked down at our intertwined fingers and smiled. "Yes she didn't pull away!" I thought, smiling myself. 

The night carried on with laughing and games, until out began to get late. "Hey, um, I've got to go." Sarah said standing up and taking her hand from mine. "Oh, yeah sure. I'll walk you to your car." I said following her. We got to her car after a semi-awkward silent walk. "Thanks for coming" I said, giving her a hug. "Of course, Happy Birthday!" she said hugging me tighter. I honestly didn't want to let go. Finally she ended the embrace, and went to get in her car. "Wait!" I said putting my hand on the door. "I um, Uh I have something to ask you." Crap. The nerves kicked in and I could feel my face getting hot.

"Sarah. we've known each other for a really long time now, and um, I really li-like you." I finally stuttered out. "I like you more than a friend.. and I was wondering if you um... if you.." I couldn't get the words out, but suddenly I felt her lips on mine. "Yes. Yes Ammon. You don't know how long I've been waiting for this day" she said throwing her arms around my neck. I nestled my face into the crook of her neck wraping my arms around her waist. "This is the best birthday ever."

(end flash back)

"Ammon? Hello you there?" Brady was waving his hand in front of my face, bringing me back to reality. "Um yeah sorry,  I zoned out there." I said shaking my head. "Where'd you go?" Steve asked, giving me a wink. "Actually I was thinking about my birthday party." I feel Sarah's hand tighten around mine. I smile and look over at her, her beautiful eyes glowing. Just as I was about to lean down and kiss her her eyes widened. "Look!" she gasped, pointing to the parking lot. "What is it.." I trailed off as I saw what she was talking about.

David, Terrence and William were walking our way holding some bottles. "I thought you guys didn't do that stuff, I'm out." Nick said, giving us a look. Standing up he turned to leave.  Angela grabbed him be the arm. "Wait don't go! We don't do that stuff! Ammon, Brady tell him!" "Yeah man, thats not us. Or them, normally... Let me go see what's going on." I stood up and met David and his gang half way. "What is this stuff you guys? What are you doing?" "We though we would share" hiccuped Terrence. I could smell the drink on them already. "No, you're going to leave us now, and get rid of that stuff before I go to your parents." After a bit of a debate they finally left and we got back to hanging out. We decided to go get pizza; however, and so we left.

(end flashback)

I stopped talking, because I didnt know if I could continue. It hurt to bad to think about.  "Wait so you're telling me your close friends showed up drunk with alcohol and wanted you guys to drink? Well its a good thing you stood up to him! But I don't get why your sad." Patch questioned off. "Yeah I didn't fini-" "GUYS OUR PLANE IS READY!" Tanner yelled as he cane running over to us. "Lets go!!"

We stood up and went to stand with the group. "Sit by me and you can finish the story, if you want" Patch said, standing at my side. I nodded in agreement as we went to board the plane.

Here sorry its a crappy update I'm sorry xc I'm having writers block sorta haha but ya. See what i did with the title? I know I'm funny;) xD Thank you every one! I love you all!!<3
