*the next day*

I woke up to my sisters yelling. "What is going on?!" I say groggily, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.  They were fighting over who got to take what noodle to the beach. "Oh yeah! we going to the beach!" I said as I was trying to stop my sisters from fighting. "Just take both of them together." I said and they agreed. Going to the beach would be a perfect way to relax and get my mind off of the encounter with Ammon yesterday. I was still a little upset, but continually thinking positive about it. I couldn't let one bad mood change my thoughts about him.

After getting ready for the day, I grabbed my book, headphones and my phone, and head out to the car with my family. "You always are the last one to get ready." my mom nagged. "Oh my myler its only 10:30 and I'm already getting in trouble for something dumb.' I think to my self. "I'm sorry, I need more time to get ready, and the bathroom was always being used." I say to her, hoping to lessen her wrath. I put my head phones in and turn on the song that I always listen to when I start to feel down. Never Give Up by Beyond 5.

Don't know how you'll get through this

Trying to catch your breath

You got what it takes to do this

The story isn't over yet

Gotta keep reaching

Never stop believing

I know the road looks crazy

You can make it through this storm

The lyrics calm my mind. There's just something about their words that calm me down and make me forget about whatever I'm stressing over. It's amazing.

Not soon enough we arrive at the beach. My siblings race to the water and I look for quiet place to read and relax.  I put my headphones back in and began to read, getting lost in the wonderful world of Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters. Taking a break from the book, I leaned my head back and just enjoy the sun, the quiet, and the music.

I was startled back to reality when a volleyball lands in my lap. Looking up to see it's owner, I heard him instead. "Hey beautiful, mind passing that back over here?" "Oh gee, one of those beach studs you here about." I think to myself. "This belongs to you? Are you sure?" I said, deciding to be a little flirty with the kid. Standing up to throw it to him, I realize that this "kid" is actually a very, very attractive guy, who called me beautiful; and I was holding his volleyball. "Hello? Earth to cutie? I said yeah that's mine. Wanna hand it over sugar? Please?" he added with a smirk. "Oh yea, uh, sorry here." I stuttered out as I threw him the volleyball, all of the confidence I had before eliminated by the boys bright smile. "He has a cute crooked smile like Zac does." I think to myself. Shoot. I've gotten into this bad habit of whenever I find a boy attractive I also find similar attributes or characteristics of one of the Beyond 5 boys. It's a bad, awful habit. "Thanks sweetie." he says, snapping me back to reality. "You, uh, you wanna come play with us? You look a little lonely." he asks me. Did he just stutter? Where did the cocky beach boy go that was flirting up a storm? Oh well. I looked over at my family before deciding to answer. They hadn't even checked up on me, so they wouldn't mind if I went a little further down the beach. My mom would probably think it was a good thing because all I do is "obsess over that band" as she says. "Yeah sure! I'd love to come play with you." I tell the boy. "My names Brady, by the way" "Mine is Tammy." We said as I followed him down to the sandy court.

After playing volleyball for a while, Brady decided that he wanted to go get snow cones. I figured that I should text my mom and tell her what I was doing. I had been gone for a while, but my parents still hadn't checked up.

Me: Hey I made some friends and I'm going to get snow cones. I'll call you when we are done. :)

Mom: Good for you sweetie. Have fun.

She replied shortly after. Typical her. "I wonder why they didn't check on me, I have been away from them for a couple of hours." I thought to my self. "Whatever, I'm on vacation, I can have fun.." Suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by Brady grabbing my hand. "It's just a short walk. But I promise you they have the best snow cones in the country! Also a few of my friends are going to meet up with us there, is that alright?" "Aw he's so cute, and he's holding my hand!" I silently yelled. Looking down at our intertwined fingers then up at him "No that's perfectly fine." I said squeezing his hand with a smile.

The Shnow Shack (as it was called) was probably the cutest little shack that I have ever seen. I fit so well with the beach, you would think that God created it with the land. I realized that I didn't have money with me on the walk over, so I decided that I just wasn't going to get anything.

I followed Brady as he walked over to a table with three guys at it, awkwardly walking behind him. One of his friends was facing us while the other two were facing him. "Brady!" the one facing us yelled as he stood up on the chair. Brady dropped my hand as the other two turned around. I gasped, my eyes widening and I covered my mouth. Brady and two of the boys didn't seem to notice, but one did. It was Ammon.
