So I was looking where the FRICK I had read Henry called his wife too "Dear Girl" (still looking for that, gosh darn it) and I stumbled across John's one surviving letter to Martha.
And like???? I just don't get how???? People can say he was straight???? When he literally told almost the same thing to Alex, Martha, and Francis all??? The "you know the unalterable sentiments of your affectionate Laurens" line (or something like that, I'm writing this from memory) like John wrote a similar thing to Francis and Martha too like???? You bet if JC was aware of this he would've censored that part too, a little more and he might as well just burned that entire letter jfc
