So, it's 2019 and people still think Bettas are okay to keep in bowls???
I got my boy from Petco, only because I truly couldn't find a place in my area that treated their Bettas any better. But stores like that, that keep their fish in tiny cups, how is that not deemed abuse??
And from the cup to the bowl there's not much difference, it's the same shit but slightly larger (still not large enough of course)
Bettas need a filter, they need warm temperatures, and they need space to swim. And if they don't get that their health will deteriorate.
This was Hyacinthus fresh out of his cup
And this is him after a few months of basic care
(Sadly, the plants didn't have as much luck. They kinda dead but I'm working on keeping the baby ones alive and had to buy a few fake ones)I just don't understand how people think barren bowls are okay??
And I'm just sad because so many Bettas die because of bad care within months when they could've lived a couple years
