Okay you guys know I don't think asexuality is inherently LGBT and I've had some discussions about it here and while I do see why people would disagree with me I don't agree with them and is all good.But.
Lately I've seen this argument to why ace people are LGBT and,,, it's kinda dumb. To put it nicely.
And the argument is that ace people can't be straight because in order to be straight you need to be both heterosexual and heteroromantic...
Bitch since when???
Last time I checked the only requirement to be straight was to be attracted to the opposite gender only, none of that heterosexual and heteroromantic bs.
I'm sorry but if you're attracted to the opposite gender and the opposite gender only in the only way you can feel attraction, then you're straight.
Because judging by that logic then I wouldn't be able to identity as gay/lesbian because I'm not homosexual and homoromantic, but nobody goes down that tangent do they, it's all about how aces can't be straight.
If an ace person can be gay, then they can also be straight, end of argument.
It just annoys me because they're literally making up a definition for the word straight so it fits their argument but that's not how words freaking work!
But, yeah, I just wanted to complain about that because it really doesn't make sense to me. That's all. Ciao!
