So I mentioned this AU like once idk how long ago, but basically John instead of running off to the war he runs off to study medicine. So he and Alexander don't meet in the war, but rather when Alexander gets shot by Burr and Alexander's doctor friend calls John and he's like "sup dude, so like you're a cool ass doctor so plz come save my dying friend" and John's like "k" and so for creative purposes let's say John is such a cool and innovative doctor that he manages to save Alexander's life, and basically as John is helping Alex through the recuperation process they fall in love as adorable wrinkly old men.
