Chapter 22: One down..

Napaungol ako nang maramdaman kong may kumukulit sa akin. Napuyat ako kagabi. Halos hindi ako makatulog and it's all Mich's fault. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala. 

Little did we know..

"All right! Im awake!"

Naiinis kong binuksan ang aking mga mata, na agad naglaho when I saw my better half. Giving me an oh-so-darn-beautiful smile.

"Hey there, swetty! Wakey, wakey!"

"Hey babe."

"You know, i remember last time, you told me, pangit ka pag bagong gising. I beg to disagree. You're still lovely with your dishelleved hair, baggy shirt, and pajamas." Then Mich suddenly kissed me.

"Mas maganda ka pa sa umaga, sweetheart."

Sweetheart? Hihihi. Teka, kinikilig ako.

"W-what are you doing? Hindi pa ako nagsesepilyo."

"I missed you already."

"We're on the same room, babe." I immediately went to the CR and brushed my teeth. Nang lumabas ako..

"So, can I kiss you properly now?"

And we kissed again. The butterflies in my stomach are out for a revolution. I couldn't get enough of those delicious lips.

"Ok, sweety. Kailangan ko nang pigilin ang sarili habang kaya ko pa. You are so delectable in the morning and we're here alone. Haha. So, come on. Let me get milady a breakfast."

"I love you, babe."

"Love you, too. Now, come on. We still have training, you know."

Training. Warm up. Receive. Set. Spike.

Well, nothing new except Ate Ly and Ate Den is giving us a you-have-to-tell-us-the-details-look, Bea and Jhoana's grinning and giving me a we-kinda-know-the-details-but-tell-us-the-whole-story-look and our teammates giving us a meaningful look everytime i set up Mich for her to spike the ball. 

Oh, help me.

"Psst." - Bea

"What?"

"So.." - Jho

"So?"

"Tell us." - Bea

"Tell you, what?"

"Oh come on! Are you two together?" - Bea

"What?"

"Are you and Mich na? Come on, spill us the beans." - Jho

"You two couldn't hide that forever." - Aly said grinning

"We not hiding something."

"So, what's the news baby girl?" -  Ate Den, who is dragging Mich towards us, which leads our teammates to follow.

Okay, moment of truth.

"No, we're not together."

"We're not?" - Mich

"Of course not, not yet Mich!"

"You're calling her 'babe' and you're still not together?" - Bea

I gave her a questioning look.

"Its not my fault i have bionic ears, and heard you two talking." - Bea

"Okay now, we know na our feelings towards each other and its mutual."

"Then what are you guys waiting for?" - Den

"I love Mich but of course, kailangan niya pa ring manligaw no. She have to prove something." I looked at Mich, smiling. 

And I know Mich know that smile. The smile im wearing when i have something in mind.

"Ewan ko sa inyong dalawa. Tara na, tara! Back to training." - Den

"HUDDLE UP!" - Aly

"Hoy Morado! Isn't it enough? Yung mga kalokohan at katangahan niyo para umabot dito tapos di mo pa sa sinasagot?" - Jho

"Getting there. Almost there but not yet." And i winked at her, going directly to Mich.

After training..

"Hey, may pasok ka ba mamaya?"

"Im free the whole afternoon. Why?" - Mich

"Pick me up later after my 1pm class, then."

"Did you just ask me out on a date?"

"Are you up on anything?" I said, grinning.

"Im in whatever it is. Where are we going?"

"You'll know later, babe. See yah. "

"Saan tayo?

I told her the directions.

"Why there?"

"Basta."  I am thankful kasi di na ito nagtanong.

"What are we doing here?" tanong nito sa naiilang na tinig.

They are in a squatter's area. Dikit dikit ang mga bahay roon. Hindi kagandahan ang amoy sa paligid. Parang pinagsisihan niya ang pagdala dito kay Mich. Halatang hindi ito sanay sa ganitong klaseng lugar.

"May feeding program kasi dito yung org nila Mama. Im sorry if --"

"Feeding program? Why didn't you tell me? Sana i ask my Mom na rin to help and ako na rin, sana nakatulong ako for the preparations since i haven't done anything the whole afternoon."

I was speechless. I didn't think Mich would say that. Akala ko nga, galit na ito sa akin kasi dinala ko siya dito.

"Come on. Let's help 'em feed these kiddos." 

I smiled. One down.
