It's been a month. There's still calls from Kayden when he's drunk and sober.
I have moved on from what happened. He hurt me so many times that I am not surprise that he would do such a thing to me. I should've seen it coming.
Someone beat up his new car after I keyed it. It was really bad, the windows are all shattered and he could barely recognise his car.
He thought it was me but I honestly have no time.
I see JC in North Carolina often, turns out his father often does business here. JC have been hanging out daily, he comes to my cafe most of the time and wait for me to end my shift.
He's sweet.
"How's training?" Cameron stands besides me as we take a break from basketball training. "Tiring." I panted.
"It's worth it." I added and took a gulp from my bottled water.
"Good luck." Cameron runs off and joins the training.
"Slacking off?" JC took a seat on the bench. I roll my eyes at him, before I could reply Dominic, my senior walked towards me.
"Dinner?"
"Sounds great." Cameron says, running past us. "Erm, we kind of have plans." JC interrupted.
"Huh?" I look at JC then back at Dominic, "lets have a dinner together then." Dominic smiles at JC.
"Alright, name's JC." JC smiled at him.
"Dominic." He nods and runs back to training.
"I will wait outside." JC then took his leave, leaving me stunned.
After training, I left the hall with the boys. We met up with JC at the school gate, "pizza?" Dominic looks at us.
"I am okay with it." I nod my head.
"Then let's go!" Dominic walks off, Cameron walking next to him talking about basketball and the nba.
JC walks slowly next to him, "you tired?"
"Yeah." I chuckle lightly, it's obvious. I am dragging my feet because it already feel so sore.
"Shall we have dinner or anything like that Friday night?" JC ask, "huh why?" I look at him with my eyebrows furrowed.
JC's cheeks turn red, "I will like to have it alone... With you. Like a date."
A date. I never heard that word in awhile.
"Sure." I agreed without thinking.
Age is not matter, right? He's just a year younger.
"Hey, walk faster!" Dominic yells at us. I groan and run up to them, "Fields! You should treat us."
"No." Cameron shot a glare at me, "pfft."
"Goodbye." I wave goodbye to Dominic and JC and head the other direction to walk home.
Cameron then walks beside me, "why are you here?" I eyed him from head to toe.
"This is my way home."
"Oh." I nodded and we both walked in silence.
We past the cafe and he's still here, "are you following me?" I took out my keys, stopping in the middle of the pavement.
"Nobody wants to follow you, Morgan." Cameron shakes his head at me and went up the stairs. I went up after him, "now you're following me." Cameron looks back at me.
