"Johnny Fields have been accused of 12 murders. The murders took place in California and Michigan. The police highly suspect that Johnny Fields killed them over rage because of a small disagreement."

"Soon to be 19 year old Alexis Morgan was shot by Johnny Fields and is currently in hospital seeking treatment. Cameron Fields' who is Johnny's son, pulled her out of the water just in time. We send the families our condolences and hope everyone is well–"

Cameron switches off the television.

He looks over at Alexis laying on the hospital bed.

He let out a sigh, she will be okay. He keeps telling himself.

Cameron put his hand on her cheek, "wake up, love." He murmurs under his breath.

Cameron rest his head on her hand, "I am so sorry." He sighs.

The door creaks open, "hello Cameron." Mr Morgan steps in with Axel by his side.

When Mr Morgan heard the news, he immediately book a flight to LA.

"Mr Morgan," Cameron stands up, his head hung low. Mr Morgan flash him a small smile, "it's okay, she's still alive and she will be fine. None of this is your fault, do know that."

Cameron simply nods his head, wanting to apologise but said nothing.

2 days later

Alexis sits up on her bed, her whole body aching. She still remember everything clearly, plunging into the cold water and sinking deeper... And deeper.

She stares into blank space, trying not to think about it.

"Alexis," Mr Morgan steps into her ward. Alexis smiles, "hello Dad..." She turns to Axel who is climbing up onto her bed, "hello little rascal." She hugs him tightly.

"How are you feeling? The police would be here in awhile to question you, you okay to do that-"

Alexis chuckles, "I am fine, Dad... Just a little sore." She assures him.

Alexis scans the room, "is Cameron okay?" She ask.

Why is he not here? She thought.

Mr Morgan sits down on the couch, "I am sorry, Alexis... It's best if you guys stay apart."

Alexis felt her heart drop, her hand slips off from Axel's back and stare at her father in confusion.

"What?" She struggles to utter out.

"He left, Alexis... He decided to leave." Mr Morgan stated.

"Huh...?"

Her eyes well up with tears.

The door swings open, a man came in with a soft smile on his face.

Mr Morgan and Axel were told to leave the room as he needs to take Alexis' statement.

Days passed. Alexis spent her days wondering when is Cameron going to step in and hug her.

Alexis got discharged and Mr Morgan have her flight booked back to North Carolina.

"Hey, how are you?" Elijah steps out of the apartment that belongs to Lucas originally. Elijah pays him rent every month now.

Alexis flash a small smile at him, "I am fine, couldn't be better..." She shrug her shoulders.

Elijah nods his head in return, "that's good, we were really worried. Tell me if you need anything, okay?" He closes the door behind him, "thanks Elijah." Alexis waves goodbye and step back into her apartment.

Alexis switches on her television for some background noise as she fix herself lunch in the kitchen.

"What's your relationship to James Morgan's daughter, Alexis Morgan?" Alexis drops her spoon on the counter and turn her head to the television. Cameron turns his head to the camera, "she was just a friend that I had over." He answered to the question.

Alexis run over to the living room and shut off the television.

Tania came in the afternoon and accompany Alexis. Alexis was distracted for awhile... Till Tania left and she's all alone in the house again.

Alexis will wake up in the middle of the night gasping for air as she keeps dreaming about that night, it takes her an hour before she could go back to sleep.

The bags under Alexis' eyes grew as nights go by, she would sometimes wake up screaming and not able to go back to sleep at all.

Alexis brought herself to the gym and to the basketball court, maybe it could take her mind off of that night but it couldn't. Nothing could.

Summer break is over and they all head back to school. The coach has plans for the team to travel to Michigan for a friendly match and UCLA will be in their school next week.

Alexis couldn't wait for the day she can see Cameron again.

Hug him and feel safe.

"Hi," Alexis went up to Cameron after the boys' friendly game. "Hey." Cameron says coldly and picks up his duffel bag.

Alexis grabs tightly onto her own jacket, feeling tense.

"Up for dinner?" Alexis raise her eyebrows.

Cameron doesn't look at her, it's as if she's not even there.

"Cameron?"

Cameron looks at her.

Finally.

Alexis smiles a little.

"Alexis, it's been fun but I know you heard those rumours about me... I already found someone new."

Alexis' smile fades away, "what?"

Cameron nods his head, "yeah... After we had sex, that's it, Morgan." Cameron smirks and shrugs his shoulders.

Alexis shakes her head, "don't lie to me." She murmurs.

Cameron chuckles, "what we had... It meant nothing."

Alexis looks around, heavily breathing.

"Morgan," Elijah walks towards her, his eyebrows furrowed at how lost she looks.

Cameron turns around and left to the changing room.

Elijah grabs her shoulder lightly, "Alexis..." Elijah watch her eyes fill with tears, "calm down." Elijah says in a soft tone, "everything is okay, let's leave." Elijah brought her out of the school.

Alexis turns to look back to search for Cameron but he's no longer there.

Elijah brought her back home.

And once again, she's all alone in her house.

This time, she fell asleep on the couch.

She woke up with tears rolling down her cheeks.

He's really gone now.
