I gently pull Axel's arm off of mine and got out of bed. I grab my jacket from the chair and went down to the patio.

I sit on the chair and put my legs up to my chest. I look at the town, most of the people are asleep and then there's me.

I did manage to fall asleep but not for long. What happened in the day made me think, are my friends going to hurt me one day? Not just mentally but also physically? Why do they have thoughts to kill...?

I took out my phone and scroll twitter, it's one of the biggest news today. While JC held Cameron captive, JC was shot twice... It happened right outside the library.

"17 year old, Justin Cole Carter shootup at Duke University today. No students, teachers or janitors were injured. Justin Carter apparently appeared because of a girl-"

"Stop listening to it." Cameron appears on his patio. I lock my phone and place it down on the table.

"Can't sleep?" I look over at him, "nope." Cameron shakes his head.

Even though he's here. I can't stop thinking about the fact that I am the reason why he appeared at school today. So many people could've died... Because of me.

"Did your parents call you?" I ask out of curiosity.

"My mother did..." Cameron lets out a sigh, "my father passed away." He shrugs.

"I am sorry I asked." I muttered.

Cameron smiles slightly, "its okay."

"Please rest well." Cameron then says. I nod my head yes.

The atmosphere feels so weird... Not uncomfortable. We're both in a state of... Sadness I guess. Maybe emptiness.

We do not have the energy to comfort each other, I know I don't. I want to but I can't.

Cameron could've lost his life.

"Alex..." Axel stands at the door, rubbing his eyes.

I open my arms out for him and he walks over with a bathroom towel wrapped around him.

"Hey Cameron." Axel waves at Cameron, "hey buddy." Cameron smiles at him.

"You should get your sister to sleep." Cameron says, "I don't care." Axel lays his head on my shoulder.

I chuckled lightly, "sleep." I put my hand on his head.

"Come over for breakfast later on... My father is cooking." I then invited Cameron over. "I-"

"It's good to be around family." I cut him off, "tell him how amazing you are in basketball." I added.

"You think I am amazing?" Cameron smirks.

"No, but the people do." I say calmly.

"Don't deny it, Morgan." Cameron laughs, "but I am amazing." He agrees.

I roll my eyes at him, I wished to be amazing too. Just like my father, playing in a professional league and be one of the best.

Time flies by, we watch the sun rise.

It's a new day... We shall try to be a better person than yesterday.

"I will see you later, Morgan." Cameron says and step back into his loft.

"Why are you both out? It's cold." Father stands at the door, "it's nice." I simply answered. I then carry Axel on my back, "cook a portion for Cameron too." I say to Father as he takes out the ingredients.
