I step out of 7-11 with a bag of chips and some sweets for the drinking session I am having with Nate and also Daryl tonight.
"Alex!" I stop and turn to look at the guy, "Justin." I raise my eyebrows in surprise.
"You said you weren't free..." JC notices my slackish outfit, hoodie and sweatpants. Gosh, I look like a mess.
"I am going over to Nate's actually..." I say, "oh." JC put his hands together.
"You should come with me, we can spend sometime together!" I grab his wrist and drag him along with me.
We took the bus together to Nate's apartment, watching old NBA videos on his phone.
We arrived at Nate's doorstep after an hour. We had difficulty finding his apartment that he stood by his window and shouted out for us.
"You guys are finally here." Daryl takes the bag from my hands, "meet JC. Nate, you met him at the competition." I introduced JC to the both of them.
"Oh yeah, Justin." Nate looks at Justin then looks at me, "how did you guys become friends?"
I then have a flashback of the night I left homecoming, "naturally." I simply answered.
JC laughs and went into the kitchen to help Daryl. "How's Naomi?" I ask Nate, he groans at my question, "annoying."
I chuckled, they hate each other's guts but they still care about each other dearly.
"What alcohol you got?" I then ask, following Nate into his bedroom. "Vodka, tequila, martell, jack daniel's, what do you want? I have beer too." I chuckled lightly, as usual, he got everything.
We sat around the coffee table, Daryl pouring the tequila into the shot glass for us. There's Mcdonald's on the table and fried chicken.
"Aren't you a year younger?" Nate looks at JC, right, he is.
"It's okay, it's not the first time I am drinking." JC assures Nate and took a sip of the tequila.
Nate let out a sigh, "okay! No need to worry!" Nate hypes up the atmosphere and cheers with my cup.
"Are you sure you can drink?" JC turns to me as I drank it all down at once. "She's a great drinker." Nate says to JC.
"No, she was sent to the hospital a few days ago." JC says, I let out a loud groan. I didn't wanted Nate to know, "what?! You didn't tell me?" Nate screams.
"What happened?" Nate ask, trying to calm himself down.
"I fell sick." I simply answered, "she's lucky, Cameron brought her ther—"
"Cameron?!" Nate screams once again, Daryl jumps, covering his ears. I think he's going to be deaf.
And I want to kill JC, ugh I shouldn't have brought him here. But gosh, he doesn't know a thing I can't blame him.
I still have no idea why Nate hates Cameron so much.
"You were with Cameron—"
I block out Nate's nagging and turn to JC, "you talk too much." It was a nicer way to say shut up.
Nate watch Alexis stood up and make her way to the bathroom, "she's going to knock out." Nate says, shaking his head. He took another shot of pure vodka and went into his room.
He came out with a blanket and a pillow and set it down on the couch. "Stop drinking." Daryl takes the cup out of JC's hands.
Alexis comes back out and plop down on the couch. She lay down under the covers and JC lays beside her.
Daryl and Nate looks at each other, "don't go crazy." Daryl warns Nate.
"I wish Cameron was here." Alexis murmurs, snuggling up to JC. "What..." Nate frowns at her.
I wake up with a headache, a hangover. I look up at JC who is asleep next to me. He has his arm under my neck.
I got out of his embrace, not feeling very comfortable laying beside him. I went to the bathroom and clean myself up.
"You're awake, Cameron's girl." Daryl says when I step into the kitchen. He is cooking bacon and eggs. He's also making waffles.
"Cameron..?" I sit on the bar stool.
"All you talk about him last night." Daryl laughs, "let me tell you something." He then turns around. His messy black hair covering his eyes.
"JC confessed that he has a crush on you." Daryl whispers, his minty breath hitting my face. "But all you talked about was Cameron." He added.
My cheeks burns with embarassment.
"I... JC is like a brother to me."
"What about Cameron?" Daryl ask, I look at his face, stunned.
"I don't know."
