"Women's Team USA lost two matches but eventually got up to finals."

"Men's Team USA went for an all win, looking forward to see the three of them in the NBA in the future."

"1st place, Team USA!"

Olivia brought us up onto the stage and we received our medals.

I stood in the middle, smiling widely for the cameras in front of me.

Then I see her, my mother.

I struggle to maintain my smile on my face. Hurry, I want to get out of here.

"Thank you girls."

No, thank you! I bowed and got off the stage.

"Alexis Morgan, how do you feel about upcoming Olympics tryouts?" We were then each approached by reporters, I see my mother walking over to Tania.

Would Tania recognise her?

"I am definitely looking forward to it, the tryouts itself would be a great experience." I answered with a small smile.

"Alexis, did your father raised you single-handedly? Who's the special lady?"

Oh shit.

I scratch the back of my head, thinking about what to answer so I would not stir shit.

I look up at the reporter and tried to say it in the most friendly way possible, "no comment."

Please ask about my successes, please.

"Ms Morgan, do you look forward to your next season? You're now Duke's vice-captain."

Thank you.

"Oh yeah definitely, I am excited to meet new people and maybe lead the team to win the championship again, it would be nice."

"Alexis!" Tania yells out for me. "Thank you guys," I thanked them and walked away.

"Good job," Cameron raised his hand up and curls his hand. I fist pump his fist.

We walked behind the rest, slowly making our way to get lunch after a tiring morning.

I can't help but look back to see if she's there.

This is probably the last time I will see her.

"Is your mother a reporter?" Cameron ask.

I snap my head to him, "yeah!"

Cameron looks back, "that lady right there? Evelyn Beck." He points at the lady with her brown hair tied up in a bun.

Evelyn Beck.

She changed her name.

But why?

"She's a popular reporter in Los Angeles and she's doing well," Cameron says.

She lives in Los Angeles.

"That's great," I look up at him with a small smile. "Thanks Cameron..." I say softly. I honestly can't thank you enough.

"It's not a problem, Morgan." Cameron pinches my left cheek lightly. I laugh and swat his hand away.

We sat down for lunch and while waiting for our food I decided to search for Evelyn Beck.

Let's see... She's a popular reporter so I am guessing she covered NCAA and maybe a sports magazine?

I type in Evelyn Beck NCAA, hoping something will pop out.

I look at the first article, 19 year old Elijah Jones, now Captain of Duke, looks forward to winning championship next season.

Oh wait, Dad said that she worked in the NBA.
