Dad had my furnitures moved into a beach house that Mom and him used to stay in. He has never went back there ever since Mom left.

It is small but so cozy and private. I can watch the sunsets everyday from that big window.

"Have fun in WNBA, Alex. The media might be harsh, ignore it and just keep playing your game. You came very far, you can't let idiots behind a keyboard bring you down now." Dad says.

I smiled and gave him a quick hug, "thanks Dad."

I went to have lunch with Dad and Axel. Axel got his arm fractured when he was sparring during his training. I heard he cried because of the pain.

He seems pretty proud of the arm cast though.

I pull out my phone, scrolling through twitter till Tania sent me a message. It's a news article.

'⚠️ Cameron Fields dating Heather Gonzales from Stanford University. She's another big superstar which WNBA is eyeing on.'

Oh her.

She is pretty. She is pretty good too.

A new date.

Huh... Maybe it is time to move on. After all he did.

I can't possibly go up to him and confess my love to him. The postcard he last sent was about a year ago.

It's too late.

"You see news like this!" Dad shows me the article about Cameron and Heather, "might be a PR stunt. Cameron is new to NBA and he is wanted by many modelling companies. Heather is a pretty girl, rich as well, might just use money to get into WNBA." Dad shrugs.

"But it might not." He added, he looks up at me, "what happened to you both anyway?" He asks.

"We're just friends, Dad. And he has been busy, same for me too."

"Oh," Dad placed his phone down. "Well, now you both are in the state." He reminds me.

That's all people can talk about.

Me and Cameron.

We did have something special, didn't we?

I fake a small smile, "yeah... Maybe I will see him around."

3 years later

"Alexis Morgan, only 23 years old. Won Rookie of The Year Award and the Championship twice in a row is here today on ESPN."

"Cameron Fields, also only 23 years old. Won Rookie of The Year Award and along with 1 Championship Award and a MVP of The Year Award. He is also here today along with Alexis Morgan."

I walked onto the stage and sat on one of the empty seats. Cameron sat next to me, our knees grazing against each other.

It made my heart flutter a little.

"We have two very successful superstars over here, there are people that actually follow this two from college until WNBA and NBA."

They started flashing pictures and videos of the both of us.

I stare at the screen, that's so cute. I want all of those photos.

"During their college years, it was revealed that Alexis Morgan is the daughter of James Morgan. It is like watching a replica of James Morgan on court when you are watching Alexis Morgan. Her moves are beauty."

"Speaking of James Morgan, he actually gave advices to Cameron Fields as well. Cameron, I would like to have your input on this."

Cameron straightens up and looks at the camera, he has a small, friendly smile on his face. "I was from Duke before I moved and had to change schools, so I met Alexis and there was a few bumps here and there. I have to move to California because of family and I entered UCLA. James Morgan loves watching college basketball and loves to pick out players that are potentially good for the NBA."

"And since I met James Morgan through Alexis, he gave me advices on how to guide the team and plays as well. It really opened my mind up."

"How about you, Alexis?"

Oh.

I sat up straight in my seat, "my father definitely coached when I was kid. He would watch my game through a live stream because he is famous and I come home to him praising me first and then guiding me next. He never scolds me which I am very grateful for. I am stressed because as Captain before, I had to lead my team and guide them as well and my Dad really played a big part in my teenage years."

When the interview is over, the staff came over to ask to take the microphone off of our clothes.

"How are you?" Cameron asks as we walk out of the set together.

"Great, what about you?" I asked, looking up at him.

Finally having the courage to actually look him in the eye.

"I am well." He smiles a little.

"Nice to hear." I mutter under my breath, not knowing if he heard me or not.

This is crazy, it has been over 4 or 5 years since the incident. He seems better now, I can say that.

I am definitely in a better place too.

I hope he is happy with Heather.

He doesn't need to know that I got the postcards.

It is a little too late.

It is still laying on my desk, I go through once in awhile and went to the countries he went to.

He went to Iceland twice and I did too, with Axel since Dad got a coaching job at a high school. Iceland is gorgeous and freezing cold, Axel and I can't stop getting hot chocolate everyday.

I had fun travelling to the countries he recommended.

But what Cameron wrote is right, travelling is amazing. But sharing the experience with someone you love is special.

I got postcards from the places I travelled to and wrote his name and wrote down whatever I felt that day.

But I never sent it out.

It is just in the drawer, collecting dust.

"I will see you around, Morgan." Cameron says as we part ways to our cars.

I put my hand up to wave goodbye, "see you around, Fields."
