When Fae awoke she was in the hospital. This, however, was not the hospital she was used to waking up in. This hospital she has never seen before.
What shocked her more then the hospital was the man asleep next to her. It had been 10 years since she had last seen him but not much had changed. His hair was more gray, and he had, in fact, become more handsome but he was still the man she had once called her father.
The most shocking change to James had to be the young boy sat in his lap. The boy could not have been older than three years old. He was tanned like the man holding him, with dirty blond hair. It was obvious to anyone with eyes that they were father and son, even with the difference in hair color.
"You're awake," a quiet but stern voice startles Fae. She quickly looks to the door to find a young woman. Her hair is the same as the boys, 'she must be his mother' Fae thinks. She doesn't say anything just watches the stranger.
"How are you feeling?" The woman asks. She walks further into the room and watches as Fae shrinks into the bed. The woman frowns but does not stop until she is at the foot of the bed.
Before the woman can say anything else the young boy is climbing out of his father lap and onto the bed. "Logan! Get down you don't want to hurt Fae!" The woman scolds the child.
Fae flinches as the woman yells. She shrinks back into the bed more, of that is possible. The boy just smiles and sits there watching Fae like she's the most wonderful thing in the world. He's fascinated by her and she knows not why.
The yelling must have awoken James, for he stands and lifts Logan off the bed and into his arms. "You have to be careful Logan, you wouldn't want to hurt your sister would you?" James asks the boy whom quickly shakes his head no. His eyes are wide and sad.
"No, I'm sowwy sissy..." The boy says to Fae. He's nearly in tears at the thought of hurting her. Fae can't help but feel the need to reassure the boy.
"It's ok" Fae whispers. Her voice is rough like she hasn't used it in a long time.
James smiles softly at his daughter. "Fae, this is Logan. He's your little brother. And this is Jen, she's your step-mom" James says. Fae looks between the three of them.
"Where are we? I don't know this hospital" Fae asks. Her voice is just barley above a whisper. She's quiet and timid, it would be sweet if James didn't know the reason behind it. "Why are you here?" Fae adds on before he can answer her first question.
Jen frowns, "we had you transferred here to Riverdale General. When we heard what happened.. we thought it best of you were here with us."
James smiles softly at his daughter. Him and his wife are obviously leaving things out. "I've been meaning to have you move here with us and with what's happened... now is the perfect time. The change will be good for you, for all of us." His smile becomes soft and sad, "I've missed you sweetheart."
Fae doesn't respond. She frowns and looks down to her wrists. They are wrapped tightly but she knows under that there are stitches, lots of them. More scars to add to the collection.

Fae, now released from the hospital, walks into a large two story house. Jen had told her that they had a room all ready for her. She hasn't had a room in years. She's used to sleeping in the basement on the cold floors, that's if she sleeps at all.
