Four days after Faes doctor appointment is when she sees one of her friends next. Sweet Pea takes a day off from the Wyrm to spend with his friend. He hadn't seen her in a while and last time he had talked to her she had been sick. He wouldn't admit it but he had been worried about the girl.
"Are you gunna tell me what's wrong?"Pea asks as he sits on the old ratty couch at the quarry. It was filled with water so it was the young Serpents hang out at the moment. It was their swimming pool.
"I don't want to talk about it.." Fae admits as she throws her feet onto his lap.
Pea squeezes her calf. "Talking about whatever it is might help." He admits as he runs his fingers up and down her calf trying to calm the girl.
"But if I talk about it then that makes it real. I'm not sure I'm ready for it to be real. I mean- I can't- how am I-." Each time she tries to explain herself she cuts it off with another explanation.
"Hey, whatever it is you can tell me. I'm not going to judge you Fae. I promise," Pea takes her hand in his. Fae loved this side of Sweets, when he got soft on her. It didn't happen too often but often enough for certain people (Fangs and Toni). Toni had told her that she was Sweet Peas soft underbelly, it was a term Serpents used for the people they cared unconditionally for.
"Ifoundoutimpregnant" Fae says it so fast it comes out as one word.
"Let's try that again but slower this time. I can't understand you when you talk that fast." Pea says as he grabs her arm and pulls her to him so he can hug her. "Slow, got it."
Fae nods and takes a shaky breath. "I went to the doctor a few days ago, because I had been puking for like a week..." her lip trembles and she looks away.
"What did the doctor say Fae? What's wrong with you?" Peas voice is nervous.
"I'm pregnant," Fae cries out. Pea doesn't say anything just pulls her closer and kisses the top of her head.
"Alright," Sweets finally speaks. "What do you want to do? Abortion? Adoption? Whatever you choose Fae I will be here for you."
Fae shakes her head. "Abortion is not an option. But, i don't know if I can do this. I haven't told anyone but you and I'm so afraid to tell Reggie. What if he leaves me? I'm sixteen and pregnant. I don't even know who the father is!" She cries and buries her face in his chest.
"Hey, Reggie will not leave you because of this. He will support you no matter what you decide Fae. He loves you so much. Hell he'd be the father figure of you decided to keep it." Pea kisses the top of her head. "He knows this wasn't your fault Fae. He will still love you." Fae nods into his chest. "You need to tell him soon Fae."
"I will," she mumbles into his chest.
"Good, it needs to be done. Now what do you say we go to the Wyrm and stir up some trouble for Toni?" Pea smirks down at Fae who giggles and nods. Then they go and make some trouble for their friend, and it was the most fun Fae has had since Jason's accident.
The next day Fae is determined to tell Reggie. She has to before she chickens out. That's why she's standing on his doorstep about to knock, she's really glad he doesn't work for his dad today.
Taking a deep breath Fae knocks on the door and waits. Melinda, Reggies mother had given her a key after Jason's accident, just in case. The woman loved Fae and wanted to make sure that if she even needed it she could get into the house. Fae really doesn't want to use it and be that weird girlfriend that just barges into your house after a month or two of dating but she's getting impatient, she's sure Reggies going to sleep through her knocking and ringing the doorbell.
