Chapter 23

The drive to the hotel was quiet. Fae seemed to be deep in thought the whole time. Reggie didn't want to disturb her so he focused on driving, it was, after all, his first time driving a truck with a trailer behind it.

By time they got to the hotel both were tired. Reggie had said he'd get them a room but Fae had made it clear that she wasn't going to let him pay for anything on this trip. He was only there because of her so she demanded he put his wallet away and park the truck.

Fae got out of the truck, Ambush following behind her with his leash on. She walked into the lobby of the hotel and up to the desk. No one was there so she rung the bell and waited.

It didn't take long for a young woman to leave the office behind the desk. "How may I help you?" She asks as she looks Fae over then Ambush. The woman obviously does not think highly of Fae and her pet.

"I need a room please." Fae forces a smile. As she pulls out her wallet form her bag and grabs her card.

"It's going to be be $150 a night." The woman's voice is snotty and Fae wishes she was a mean or violent person. She'd love to hit this woman.

"Alright, that's perfectly fine." Fae says getting impatient with the woman.

"I'm going to need an ID along with the card miss." The woman smirks.

"I don't have a license." Fae admits

"Well I can't give you a room then miss." The woman's smirks grows.

"Everything alright babe?" Reggie asks as he walks up to the two girls.

"Apparently I can't get a room without a license." Fae turns to Reggie who pulls out his wallet and grabs his own license.

"Here just use mine." He hands it to the woman behind the counter who is checking him out. Fae glares at her but she doesn't seem to notice.

"Alright, I'm sure we can do that. Two beds correct?" She asks Reggie completely ignoring Fae.

"One will be just fine." Fae smiles sweetly. "Reggie here loves to hold me close at night. He has a thing about touching my baby bump." Faes smile turns into a smirk.

Reggie has to cough to hide his laugh. This is a new side of Fae, and Reggie is digging jealous Fae. She's supper hot.

"Oh, well congratulations." The girl has to force a smile. Fae does not, she knows she's won. She takes Reggies arm and wraps it around her waist while slotting her fingers with his.

The lady does all her computer stuff and hands the card and license back. "I'm going to need you to sign this for me." She sets a piece of paper on the counter. Reggie leans down and kisses Faes head as she signs it. "Alright, here are your room keys. Room 212 second floor. Have a nice stay."

Fae takes the keys from the lady. "Thank you," Reggie grabs their begs before Fae can. Fae playfully glares at him. "I can carry my own bag."

"You're already carrying precious cargo." He smiles and places a hand on her slight bum. "I got the bags. Now lead the way beautiful." Fae blushes but is quick to make her way to the elevator to hide it.

Once the elevator doors are closed Reggie sets the bags down and turns to Fae. He takes her hips into his hands and pulls her to him. "That was super hot babe." He smirks down at her. "Jealous you is fucking sexy as hell."

Fae blushes and hides her face in his chest. "Shut up! That was horrible, I don't know what came over me.. she was just looking at you like.. well like she wanted into your pants and I just felt so angry. I'm not the angry type of person."
