Reggies Girl

Chapter 19

Fae, Reggie and Logan had been at Reggies house for at least an hour before they were joined by Moose. Fae was happy to see him but she was also nervous. Fae was afraid Moose would find out about the baby, yes she wanted to tell him but what if he reacted horribly. She wasn't even sure who the father was and that would no doubt be one of his many questions.

"Hey!" Moose wraps his arms around Fae. "Reg said your grandparents are in town and it didn't end well." Moose looks down as the small girl in his arms and she looks right back up at him.

Fae adored Moose, he was a kind boy. But she didn't feel like she could tell him about her past. She couldn't tell him about what really happened the night she was attacked. This also meant she couldn't tell him about what r ally happened with her family.

"Yeah, they're just a group of rich asshats." She says and pulls away. "But we got out of there as quickly as possible. Reg and Logan are out back, he's teaching Logan how to play football, maybe you can help out." Fae pulls away and grabs some drinks from the fridge before leading the way to the back yard.

"Of course, maybe we'll invite a few of the others over. Make it a little get together." He suggests as he follows her into the back yard. The first thing the two of them see is Reggie scooping up Logan, who has the football, and spinning him around. Fae smiles as she listens to Logan laugh loudly.

"He's really good with Logan." Moose says as he stands next to Fae.

"Yeah" Fae agrees as she places a hand on her stomach. 'Reggies great with kids, he's going to be amazing with this baby,' she thinks.

Logan runs over to the two. "Hey Moose! Are you gunna play with us?" He asks as he takes one of the drinks from Fae. "Thanks Fae!" He gulps some down and Fae laughs.

Reggie follows behind Logan taking a drink from Fae as well. But instead of taking a drink he leans down and kisses his girlfriend on the lips. "Thanks babe" he smiles.

"I was thinking about it, if that's alright with you?" Moose asks Logan with nods enthusiastically. "And If you and Reg are up for it I was thinking we could invite a few other people from the football team over."

Logan looks to Reggie with his puppy dog eyes. "Please! Can we?!"

Reggie laughs and looks to Fae for confirmation. She just smiles and that's all he needs. "Sure why not." Reggie gives in quickly.

It doesn't take long for more of the boys to show up. The first to arrive are Chuck and his little posse. Fae doesn't greet them and they keep their distance from her, especially with Ambush growling any time they get close to his master. After that a few others show but not too many, and they're mostly the ones Fae doesn't know or doesn't like. But she'll hold her tongue for Logans sake.

After about a hour the boys all seem tired, Logan is the first of them to dip out and sit with his sister to watch. The boys seem to make it a real game after that, with real tackling. Faes glad Logan got out when he did, she'd hate for hit to her hurt.

"What do you say we go cook these boys something to eat?" Fae looks to Logan who is in the grass playing with Ambush.

He looks to her and his eyes light up. "Yes! I want to help cook!" He jumps up and grabs her hand trying to pull her up and along with him. She laughs and gets up.

"Alright, alright" Fae giggles. "What should we make them?" She asks as she lets him lead her inside and into the kitchen.
