It was Friday night. The whole week had consisted of spending her days at school, then going home to hang out with Kate until it was time for bed. Vanessa had lied and told Tony that she was helping Kate with homework, which he easily accepted.

"You just need to get out," Kate sighs. "I'll talk to Tony for ya, okay? Just pack a bag, get dressed, and meet me in my car." Vanessa took a deep breath before nodding. Lying wasn't usually an issue for Vanessa, if it was a small one and wouldn't hurt anybody. But this one was big and seemed to have potential of hurting Tony if he found out.

But she agreed with Kate - a night out of the house would be good for her. Even if it was to go to a party. A party which was being thrown by someone she was not acquainted with, but knew they went to Midtown.

Vanessa dug for a black long sleeve crop top, which hugged her torso nicely. It was a bit revealing for her chest, but she felt confident and beautiful in it so she didn't mind. She then slipped on dark-wash high-waisted jeans and her white Converse.

In a spare backpack, she chucked a baggy t-shirt inside for sleeping in, a sweatshirt for the following day, and a pair of leggings. She added her toiletries on top before slipping on a coat and heading downstairs.

She took a giant deep breath as Tony came into view. She returned his smile, feeling a bit more relaxed than before.

"Have fun at Kate's," he responds, pulling her into a hug. She wasn't taken by surprise, as Tony's hugs had increased since her punishment, and embraced him back. "Be safe."

"I will," she responded, heading outside the mansion. She caught Kate in the driver's seat of her car, waving at her with a giant smile. Vanessa noticed she had just ended a phone call, which may explain the smile. "Who called?" Vanessa questioned as she slid into the car.

"What? Oh, no one," Kate lied through her teeth. Vanessa noticed this but kept quiet. Maybe Kate wasn't comfortable sharing that information with her. "Ready?"

"I think so," Vanessa sighs, buckling up after tossing her bag in the back.

They pulled up outside the house, which just so happened to be a mansion, though it was smaller than Tony's. Then again, nobody had a job remotely similar to him, making their pay a lot less in comparison.

"Holy shit," Vanessa muttered as she stepped out. The night sky really helped her see how many rooms were inside the huge house. Everybody seemed to be spread out amongst them.

"Let's go," Kate smiled, looping her arm around Vanessa's.

They walked into the home with their heads held high, both searching for the pizza and drinks. They hadn't eaten yet and were both starving.

"There!" Kate shouted, pointing to a place off in the distance, dragging Vanessa alongside her. They reached a table that held fifteen or so pizza boxes, an array of alcohol displayed under it. As Kate set two pieces of pizza each on two plates, Vanessa got the drinks. Both had blue raspberry Vodka mixed with Sprite, a concoction Vanessa wanted to try.

Both found a seat on an empty couch, diving in immediately. Soon, all four pieces were devoured and their drinks downed. Vanessa offered to trash their paper plates and fill up their cups with the same mix. Kate nodded eagerly.

"Penis Parker!" a boy shouted. The red plastic Solo cups slipped from Vanessa's fingers. "Didn't think you'd come, buddy."

"Shut up, Flash," another boy retorted. Vanessa huffed, looking down at her mess. She swiped the paper towels from the table and dabbed at the liquid, getting frustrated with how much they lacked their absorbing power. "Can I help you with that?" a boy with a familiar voice questioned.

"Please do," Vanessa chuckles, not paying any mind to the voice. But once the hands came into view, she couldn't ignore them. She dropped the soaked paper towels from her fingers and held the hands, her eyes snapping up to meet a pair of big brown ones. A smile jumped onto her face, a squeal erupting from her throat. She dropped the hands and threw her arms around the boy's neck. "I've missed you so much," she chuckled, feeling as though she could cry out of pure joy.

"I've missed you more," Peter responds, closing his eyes as he relaxed under her touch.

"It's been five days without each other," Ned announces. "You guys act like it was a year."

"Shut up, Ned," Kate remarks, slapping his chest. "I bet it felt like it."

"It did," Vanessa confirms, turning her face to rest in the crook of Peter's neck. She took in his scent, the feeling sending goosebumps down Peter's body.

"I'm getting a drink," Ned informs, walking away from the scene, Kate following as she understood the hint.

"How have you been?" Peter questioned, reluctantly pulling away from her embrace. He had to see her face for a little while.

"Not so great," Vanessa responds softly, her smile fading to a sideways frown. "How about you?"

"About the same," Peter responds, giving a half-hearted chuckle. "So you're ungrounded?" he questions, referring to her public appearance off of school grounds.

"Um," Vanessa responds, scratching the back of her neck awkwardly, "no." Peter's eyes widened. "I had to get out, okay? I was losing my mind," she defends. Peter nods understandingly, giving her a soft smile.

"Let's just hope Tony doesn't find out about your rebellious act," Peter replies. "Especially since I'm here."

"Does May know?" she questions. Peter nods. Vanessa's pout presents itself as she admits to missing her loads.

"She misses you as much as I did," Peter chuckles. "You'll have to come over as soon as Tony calls off your punishment."

"Of course," Vanessa smiles. Their conversation didn't continue, mostly because neither knew what else to talk about. Vanessa wanted to address Peter's current whereabouts as Spider-man and ask if he'd found anything else, but didn't feel that that would bring up her party spirit. "I need a drink," she eventually speaks, grabbing a new cup and pouring herself her new concoction. Peter smiles as he watches her concentrate on mixing the drink, asking if she'd make him one as well. She grins once more and nods, grabbing him a cup.
