Vanessa's leg bounced with nerves. Airplanes had never been her favorite form of transportation, and they sure weren't going to be anytime soon.

Take-off would happen any second now, Peter conversing with Ned as he's sat across the aisle from him while Vanessa felt her stomach twist in ways she didn't think were possible.

As soon as Ned saw Vanessa grip the armrests and squeeze her eyes shut, he interrupts Peter and throws a pointed look the girl's direction. Peter's eyebrows pinch together, glancing back. His face drops, his hand immediately unclasping one of Vanessa's hands from the seat and laces their fingers together.

"I forget how you feel about me swinging you home," Peter softly chuckles into her ear, soothing her just as he had planned. "Sorry, love."

"I-it's okay," Vanessa stammers, eyes remaining shut. A ghost of a smile appeared on her face as Peter leaned over and pressed a gentle kiss to her cheek.

"Just think of the bright blue sky we're gonna be staring at for a week," Peter spoke warmly, staring only at Vanessa's side profile. "All the waves I'm gonna catch-"

"You're gonna surf?" she interjects, snapping her now open eyes over to his. He chuckles, nodding. "Can you teach me?"

"I don't know how to surf very well myself, but we can figure it out together," Peter grins. Vanessa nods, giving a toothless smile. Her hand grips onto his tighter as the flight attendant speaks into the intercom, saying they were about to takeoff. "You're gonna be okay, I promise. We'll be landed before you know it."

"Talk to me some more," Vanessa whimpered, keeping her eyes trained on his. He smiles softly, nodding.

"We can walk along the beach, and take pictures of the beautiful sunsets-"

"We can have picnic dates," Vanessa interjects with a childish grin.

"Of course," Peter responds, smile widening. "We can do anything your heart desires." Vanessa smiles wider as well, feeling her heart swell.

"You're the love of my life, Peter Parker," Vanessa whispers, resting her head back on the seat while still keeping their loving eye contact.

"You'll never believe this," Peter whispers as he moves closer to her face. "You're the love of my life too, Vanessa Blossom." Vanessa was beginning to feel the burn of her cheek muscles due to the nonstop smiling, but didn't mind it a bit. They were given a small break when Peter closed the small space between them, connecting their lips in a quick, passionate kiss.

"Do we have a good hotel?" Vanessa asks as she feels the plane lifting off the ground, her hand tightening around his again.

"The best," Peter grins.

"And how are you paying for all of this?" Vanessa quizzes, knitting her eyebrows together, worried he was using all his life savings just to make her happy. Peter sighs, frowning. He was the first to break their eye contact.

"Tony wanted the best for all of us," he mutters. "I tried to pay for it with my own money but-"

"Peter," Vanessa sings softly. A small smile lifts on his face as he turns his head back to her. "It's okay. I still love you endlessly."

"I really didn't want to mooch off of Mr. Stark," he grumbles, his facial expression making it evident that he was not happy with the financial situation in any way.

"Pete," Vanessa whispers, removing her other hand from the armrest to cup his cheek. She rubs his soft skin, grinning. "I love you." Peter can't help but smile along with her.

"I love you too," he whispers back.

"Don't worry about anything, alright? I already know this trip will be one to remember."

"And retell to our kids?"

"And grandkids." Vanessa feels her heart pick up speed as she watches Peter smile at her response.

"What if our first born is made in Hawaii?" he teases. Vanessa gasps quietly, removing both her hands from him, giving his chest a good smack with the one that had been attached to his cheek. He laughs, wrapping his arms around her chest and pulling her into him, squishing the side of his head into her shoulder. "You looooove me," he sings softly, eyes shut with contentment.

"Sometimes," she huffs playfully. He places a warm kiss to her shoulder, looking up at her after doing so. "What?" she giggles, their eyes shimmering as they laid on one another.

"I can't get over how beautiful you are," Peter whispers. Vanessa blushes, trying to hide her face by settling her forehead on his and closing her eyes. Peter chuckles, continuing to stare at her. "Kate told me you got some new things while you two were out shopping?" He loved teasing Vanessa in a way that would make her blush.

Vanessa never failed to present bright red cheeks, now moving her face to stare out of the window. She had only noticed now that they were finally cruising through the clouds.

"Can't wait to see them," Peter adds, sitting up straight in his seat, his hands now residing in his lap, a smug smile taking over his features. Vanessa raises her eyebrows, turning to look at him.

"Who said they were for you?" Peter's eyes snapped over to her, the bright hope that was once in his eyes and smirk instantly dropped. "Kidding! Of course they're for you," she adds after seeing his hurt facial expression, placing a hand under his chin to help usher his face toward hers, pecking his cheek.

"Maybe we'll just have to stay in the hotel room the whole trip," Peter whispers, giving a subtle wink Vanessa's way. She scoffs with a smile, rolling her eyes, averting her attention to the passing white fluff.
