"You were quite quick to take up my offer," Tony chuckles as he invites the two in. "What are you guys doing here anyway?" He looked around the two, checking the outside world for any lurkers. He held in a laugh as he saw how Peter had parked - they were definitely having a party, a few drinks involved.

"Don't worry about that right now," Vanessa scolds. "He needs to show you something." Vanessa drags the two to the room where she had her operation done, settling Peter on the metal bed and pulling Tony in front of him. "Take off your shirt, Pete."

"Woah," Tony interjects, holding up his hands to block his view of Peter's upper body. "I don't need to see his rock hard abs, I have some myself-" Peter reluctantly lifted his shirt, revealing the long gash. Tony lost his words, his eyes glued to the injury. "How did that-"

"Don't ask questions, just please help him," Vanessa interjects.

"Okay," Tony replies. "Does it hurt?" Peter nods. "How long ago did this occur?"

"Like three days ago?" Peter questioned. Vanessa's eyes widened.

"You've been dealing with this for three days!?" she shouts. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I wasn't supposed to talk to you," Peter remarks through clenched teeth as Tony analyzes the big cut with his hands.

"I-I don't know what's happening," Tony mutters. "Don't you usually regenerate like a vampire?"

"Not that quick, but yeah," Peter responds with a strained voice, scrunching up his face as Tony poked and prodded.

"Okay," Tony murmurs, "okay, okay. I can fix this. Somehow, some way." Vanessa smiles in triumph. "Oka- okay, Vanessa, hold him down." Vanessa's eyebrows furrow.

"Um, why?" she questions.

"Just do it!" Tony orders, running off, out of sight.

Vanessa looks at Peter worriedly but does as told, ready to push down on his shoulders as she settles her hands on his exposed flesh. She looks down at him with empathy, stroking her thumbs along his skin in hopes of calming him and his racing mind. He glanced up at her, his fear showing in his eyes.

"You'll be okay," Vanessa whispers, getting closer to him. "Tony will fix you up, okay?" She presses a tender kiss to his forehead, standing up straight as she hears Tony storming back, with an extra set of feet behind him.

"Hold his legs," Tony barked to Happy, walking in with loads of equipment.

"U-um, is this n-necessary?" Peter stutters, feeling his heart pick up pace. Happy held onto his ankles, Vanessa now clasping onto Peter's shoulders as Tony approached.

"This is gonna hurt a little, kid," Tony mumbles with regret.

He was right. The whole time, Peter flung about on the operating table, Vanessa and Happy trying their best to hold down the superhuman, his screams of pain filling the house. Vanessa's eyes welled up as she watched him shriek in agony, tears rolling down his own face.

There was one point where Vanessa couldn't take it anymore. "Stop it! You're hurting him!" she shouted, tears pouring down her cheeks as Peter screamed pleas for them to stop.

"I'm helping him!" Tony yelled back.

"Just keep holding him down!" Happy shouted, taking a kick to the gut as Peter tried his best to wiggle out of their grips. Happy groaned but persevered.

Soon, the operation was over with. Peter had passed out due to the extended length of the immense pain he had been through, Vanessa placing a cold, wet washcloth on his forehead.

"Thank you," Vanessa whispered as she hugged Tony. "Thank you."

"No problem," Tony replied, hugging her back. "He should be good. If he's not, bring him back to me, okay?" Vanessa nods, letting go of him. He gives a hopeful smile, squeezing her shoulder before walking away.

Peter awoke with a loud coughing attack, his pulse rising. Vanessa ran over to him and tried her best to calm him down, it eventually working as Peter relaxed against the cool metal bed once again. She lent down beside him, brushing back the damp curls that stuck to his exposed forehead, smiling softly.

"You're gonna be okay," she whispers. Peter lets out a low groan, looking up into her eyes. As Vanessa wipes away his dried and damp tears, he lifted the arm closest to her, caressing her cheek with his hand delicately. She leaned into his touch - a normal reaction - and raised her hand up to clasp around his.

"I love you," Peter mumbles, running his thumb back and forth along her cheek. Vanessa's smile brightened; her heart swelled; her stomach fluttered; her knees weakened.

"I love you, too," she responds, removing her cheek from his hand and giving his palm a gentle kiss.

"Does this mean we're not going back to the party?" Peter questions, his voice scratchy. Vanessa chuckles, shaking her head. "Damn."

"We can have our own party another time," she responds. "Right now you need to rest."

"But this metal bed is uncomfortable," he grumbles. Vanessa smiles, standing up straight.

"Let's move you to my bed then, shall we?" she questions, helping him stand.

"We shall," he finally responds as he rests half of his weight on her to keep the pressure off of his stomach and the new stitches. "Is this too much?" he questioned, referring to her holding more than she could probably handle.

"No," she grunts, carrying them to the stairs.

"Maybe we should take the elevator," Peter chuckles as Vanessa tries to get them up on the first step. She stops, snapping her head his direction.

"There's a fucking elevator?" she harshly whispers. Peter laughs, nodding. "Why didn't I know of this?"

"How didn't you?" he returns. Vanessa rolls her eyes, now carrying them over to the elevator per Peter's directions.

Eventually they made it up to Vanessa's bedroom, Peter collapsing onto her bed. Vanessa quickly changed into shorts and a baggy shirt, and took off her makeup before crawling into the bed. Peter huffed as Vanessa turned off the lamp, the room succumbing to the great darkness. He grabs her arm and attempts to pull her on top of him to cuddle but she tugs away from him, giggling.

"I'm not risking putting you in more pain," she spoke. Peter groans like a child who wasn't getting their way.

"But I've missed you so much," he whimpers. Vanessa huffs, grabbing his arm and stretching it out, laying her head by his armpit. He turned his head and leans down to place a kiss on the top of her forehead. His arm bends, his hand running through her hair gingerly. She draped her arm over his chest, placing her lips on the flesh of his shoulder gently.

"I love you," Peter whispers, looking down at her face. She gives a small laugh, staring up at him. They were so close to each other, Peter feeling her breath hit his chin and Vanessa feeling his breath fan over her nose.

"I know," she teases, pushing herself upward so their lips attached. They passionately kissed for a good moment before Vanessa's neck started to ache.

"We're so doing more of that once I'm healed," Peter announces, allowing them to return to their previous position. He played with her hand until she fell asleep, eventually drifting off himself.
