They find a bench along side the canal and sit down, S:"Ladies first" J:"Thank you, your so sweet" S:"You're welcome, hey would you like some ice cream?" J:"Sure.....please" S:"I'll be right back, hey Nina you want some.......what the????.....Jared!!" J:"Is everything .....where's Nina?" S:"Its ok, I don't bite .....hard" Julie blushes S:"I love the way your cheeks color when you blush" J:"Sounds familiar" he caresses her cheek and moves a strand of hair away from her face S:"I really mean it, it warms up your skin somehow" her heart swells with emotion she wants his lips but she dares not take them. He looks into her eyes searching for God only knows what then finally speaks. "I'll go get that ice cream now" J:"Ok" she wonders about him, is it just her or is he really interested in her. why did Nina leave? It's okay she and Jared have been away from each other for two weeks, its only natural that they would want to be alone.

Shannon comes back with 2 cups of ice cream S:"Here you go, I forgot to ask you what you liked so I got you my favorite, I hope you don't mind." Julie takes the ice cream and a huge smile covers her face J:"It's perfect! Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, it's my favorite too" Shannon smiles S"Really? Sweet, I used to love watching my mom make chocolate chip cookies. Jared and I used to sneak bits of cookie dough when mom wasn't looking" Julie giggles. J:"Guilty!" S:"You too?" J:"Yeah, my mom would let me lick the spoon when she was done" he imagines a little girl in pigtails, rosie cheeks sitting in her kitchen with a spoonful of cookie dough! God she's beautiful, what is this he's feeling? It's new and sweet, he likes it, he wants her lips but he's afraid of scaring her. He longs for the night they shared only in a dream, God how did that even happen? J:"Shannon? What are you thinking?" S:"Hmm? Oh nothing just........ How funny it is that you can meet someone and instantly feel like you've known them your whole life" J:"I know what you mean, like somehow, someway you were meant to find each other" She remembers the feel of his hands on her body, his lips on hers she blushes and he gently caresses her cheek and smiles S:"What's this for?" J:"Nothing......" S:"Do I make you nervous?" Extremely J:"A little, yeah" He smiles at that, S:"Are you seeing anyone?" Julie's heart begins to race J:"No, I'm not" there's that smile again. He gets nervous and looks away S:"So, will you be catching our show in L.A.?" J:"I might have to go back home mid-week to check on the coffee bar but yeah I do plan to" S:"Cool, and you get to see us play this Thursday, hope you like our music" J:"Actually.....I've already heard you play" S:"But....How?" J:"Nina sent me a copy of your demo, I've been listening to you guys non-stop! Oh God do I sound like a fan girl?" S:"No, not at all, so you really like our music?" J:"Yes, you guys are amazing, can't wait to see you play" S:"Thank you.......you're really sweet!" Julie smiles and looks away nervously. S:"Are you done with that?" J:"Huh? ......" She looks at the empty ice cream cup in her hand "Oh yeah,thank you" Shannon takes it from her and throws it away. He extends his hand to her S:"Shall we go?" She smiles at him sweetly, she takes his hands and the both shutter at each others touch. They walk hand in hand and continue exploring the hotel and their budding romance.
