Tomo and Vicki spend the rest of the day together, the rest of us go out and explore the strip. We end up having dinner at a small place over looking the miniature Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel. We are sipping on our drinks and awaiting desert when Jared decides to get to know Julie a little better Jared:"So how long have you known Nina?" Julie"Since we where three, my parents split up and and my mom and I moved in next door. Her mom was also a single mom, our moms became fast friends and we've been inseparable ever since." Jared:"That's sweet! What was she like as a little girl." Me:"Jared!!!!" Jared:"I'm just curious baby" I look at Julie as if to say just don't humiliate me! Julie:"she was sweet, inquisitive, hell of smart, the best friend you could ever ask for, she still is." I blush and he kisses my cheek Jared:"Yeah she is. So what do you think of my brother?" Julie winks at me then turns back to Jared "He seems harmless enough but I dunno........" S:"What!!! Jewels, really?" Julie:"I'm kidding baby" she kisses the tattoo on his neck and lingers there, he tilts his head back and moans Jared:"Get a room!!!" S:"I'm working on it." Jared:"Ah funny!" Me:"Déjà vu" Jared:"Right?" Julie blushes an puts her head on Shannon's shoulder. "I'm sorry..... actually he's really sweet and total gentleman. Quite the comedian too" Me:"I know right, Shannon so that special...." S:"Ha ha, right after yours" we all laugh

Shannon:"She owns a cyber cafe in Santa Barbara" Jared:"Oh wow that sweet!!! You can be her junkie and she can be your supplier" he couldn't keep a straight face and neither could I Me:"I'm sorry but you are a coffee junkie!" S:"And you're not?" Me:"We're not talking about my addictions now are we?"I give Jared a wicked grin and stroke his leg as he leans in and kisses my neck Me:"Mmmm ........Sorry" Shannon isn't amused he discreetly raises an eyebrow S:"So what was Julie like as a little girl" she returns my look and I smile at her Me:"She was shy but once you got to know her she was quite inquisitive, adventurous and yes the best friend you could ever have. She always had your back no matter what! She still does" S:"sounds like a sweet little girl" Julie blushes and he kisses her lips. Me:"So what were the two of you like? I bet the two of you used to get into a world of trouble" Jared"Yeah something like that. When weren't make art or playing music we........." S:"Yeah we were a couple of rebels without a cause" Me:"Hmm Not much has changed has it?" Julie and I giggle.

Truth be told I could get a sense of how they were as young boys in the way they sometimes acted when I was around. Jared chuckles "And what is that supposed to mean?" Me:"Let me guess you were strong willed, stubborn, opinionated, competitive even with each other" S:"You've been talking to mom haven't you?" Me:"Nope! It's just, I still see those little boys in you" Jared's heart swells with emotion, he had loved before but never like he did at this moment. Out of all the women that had come and gone she was the only one that truly got him, understood him. No one could touch his very soul the way she did! He sighs deeply and kisses her temple and pulls her close and she kisses his chest through his opened shirt. Julie can't help but notice how good they look together. She looks up at Shannon as if to say I want that with you, as if he's read her mind he tilts her chin up and whispers into her eagerly awaiting lips "Me too" he gently takes her lips with his and fills her heart with love.
