CARRIE

This morning after waking up and getting Bessie ready for school, I began making breakfast and noticed that Hunter had not come home last night. At least that's what I thought until I noticed out the window, Hunter's car in the driveway.

I was preparing some eggs, toast and bacon for Bessie when I heard Hunter's office door open up and saw him walking slowly while rubbing his eyes trying to wake himself up.

"Good morning." He mumbled to both Bessie and I while kissing Bessie on the top of her head and then started walking over towards me.

"Morning." I reply.

"Good morning daddy." Bessie said excitedly at him as always. She was definitely a daddy's girl and had him wrapped around her finger.

He came over towards me and gave me a kiss before I handed him some coffee.

"You hungry?" I asked him.

"Nah. I've got to get to the shop early this morning. I'll just grab something later." He says.

"Okay. Wan't me to bring you some lunch?" I asked.

"It's alright baby." He smiles and takes a sip from his coffee and kisses me before walking over next to Bessie at the table.

"Are you still coming Thursday to my tee ball game?" She asks him.

"Of course angel. I wouldn't miss it for anything in the world." He smiles at her.

I love looking at the both of them together. I don't mean to sound cliche or anything but every time I look at them, I swear I think of those pictures that already come in the frames when you buy them in the stores. It's beyond adorable.

I walk over to the table and sit across from him and on the other side of her and as she's finishing up her last few bites, she asks me if she can watch some cartoons before we leave.

"That's fine but brush your teeth first." I smile at her.

"Okay." She says.

She then takes one last bite and then leaves towards the bathroom and then runs into the living room and turns on Spongebob.

"So, busy day today at the shop?" I ask Hunter.

"Yeah. I've gotta deposit some money from the bike shop and then order some more supplies for the tattoo shop." He replies.

"Do you want some help?" I offer.

"It's okay baby, thank you." He smiles at me.

He then takes hold of my hand and gently rubs his thumb in circles over my hand as he looks into my eyes.

"I love you." I tell him.

"I love you too." He smiles and then gets up and leans over the table and gives me a kiss.

"Don't forget that tonight's date night." I remind him.

"I won't." He replies.

"Okay. Well I'm going to get ready for work. I'll see you tonight." I get up and kiss him on the lips before heading upstairs.

Throughout the day, I was real busy with customers coming in and out of the bakery all day long and barely had enough time for a break.

Then while I was in the back trying to roll out some dough to cut up and make some pastries with it, I heard one of my employees, Angel call my name. So I walked out to the front and wiped my flour covered hands onto my apron and standing on the other side of the counter, across from her was a tall man who looked to be around Hunter's and my age talking to Angel and making her laugh. He had short buzzed hair, was muscular and had dimples.

"Angel?" I asked as I walked up beside her.

"Oh hey, this guy here has a question about catering a big party for him that's coming up." She tells me.

"Thanks." I tell her and she smiles and winks at him while he turns his attention towards me.

"Hi, I heard you're the best baker in the state." He smirks.

"Of course." I tease. "What can I do you for?"

"I'm throwing a party next month and would like to have you cater it." He says.

"Is it a dessert only party cause I only do pastries and baked goods." I chuckle.

"Exactly, I'd like to have the best desserts."

"Alright. Well, I would have to know how many and the type of event and a few other details." I tell him.

"Sounds good." He smiles. I notice his smile fade fast when he looks over at the door and see's Sam walk in then quickly looks back at me and seems to be in a hurry all of a sudden. "I'll be back another day soon, I have a meeting that I forgot about."

"Okay. Well, whenever you're ready then, let me know. I do have to have enough time to plan it out."

"For sure. Have a great day." He smiles and then quickly begins walking out with his head down.

That was weird. Everything about what just happened was odd and seemed strange.

"Hello?!" I hear Sam tell me as she snaps her fingers in front of my face to catch my attention.

"Hey." I reply.

"You okay?" She asks.

"Yeah. Just, had someone come and ask for me to cater their party next month." I tell her.

"Oh my god that's great!" She says excited.

"Yeah it is." I smile back at her.

Although I really am excited and have been waiting for an opportunity like this for a long time, I'm starting to feel a bit nervous as well because I have never done an event like this, even though in all fairness I have no idea how many people will be at the party, I still feel a little nervous as to rather or not I can pull this off or not.

Next chapter will be posted soon! :)    Sorry guys that I didn't post yesterday, was real busy. However, there will be more chapters posted with the other ones in an hour or so for the other stories. :);)
