Xavier saluted a frustrated and confused Mr Kim at his grand entrance, he turned his attention to the remainder of the class, seemingly looking for his place to sit. There was one seat in the back that I guess now, was left for him. I think everyone had expected he'd sit there too because everyone's eyes were literally bulging out of their eye sockets when he took a seat at the desk right next to me.

There were other desks. Why sit next to me?

Even Mr Kim, after turning his attention to his class, quirked an eyebrow at the sight of Xavier sitting at the front, however, slightly shaking his head before picking up a pile of papers and handing them out.

I turned my attention back to the pencil in my hand, studying it as if it was the most interesting thing in the world.

I could feel his body heat emanating off of him, his presence so strong. It was as if he were Channing Tatum walking into a room full of adoring fans ready to rip his clothes off for the next instalment of Magic Mike. He shuffled his chair closer and his strong, intoxicating cologne wafted into my nose. The blended scent of honey and lemon was soothing, much like the chamomile, honey and lemon tea.

Yum!

I ignored him at first, focusing on the complex equations in front of me, however, that was soon interrupted by none other than Xavier. Nudging my arm with his elbow, I turned my head to him to see a small cheeky smirk playing on his lips. "Do you have a pen? Forgot mine."

He watched me expectantly when I didn't make a move to get what he was asking for and just stared at me. I pulled my gaze away from his enchanting eyes after I realised I had been staring into them longer than necessary. Turning around I handed him one of the many spare pencils I had in my bag making sure I was holding it by the very end when giving it to him. Any unnecessary physical contact and better yet eye contact the better. Now that I noticed it though, his eyes were now a light enchanting emerald green compared to the dark forest green they were yesterday.

"Is this going to be a regular occurrence? Because if it is, don't expect me to have an endless supply at hand ready to hand over" I said, avoiding eye contact.

His smirk grew more devious, "Aww, but Princess, how will I keep track of all these notes that we have to write down if I don't have you and your inspiring stationery at hand?" Clearly referring to the quote engraved in the pencil, 'Braver than you believe'.

"Ha-ha-ha. You've seemed to have managed without me and my stationery so far. What's changed?" I countered.

"You know, sarcasm is said to be the lowest form of wit? And as for what has changed, everything." I couldn't help but sense a double meaning behind his last few words before he covered it up again by adding, "You're here."

The scoff that escaped me was out of pure instinct. A knee-jerk reaction. Well, now I have to back it up. "How many times have you used that line just today?"

His wicked grin promised trouble and I knew I'd have my work cut out for me during my temporary stay here if he were to keep up.

"Nope. You're the one and only, Princess" I rolled my eyes before countering him.

"My name is Paisley. Nothing else." I said firmly.

"I know." He stated matter-of-factly.

This was fine. I was okay with this. This was harmless banter. Perfectly okay. Nothing else. Plus, he has a girlfriend anyway. I opened my mouth to say that, but Mr Kim cut me off, "Mr Woods, would you get back to work and save your shameless flirting with Miss Evans until after class."

My face turned crimson and I sunk low in my seat trying to use my hoodie for refuge. Xavier chuckled lowly at my reaction and gave a cheeky grin paired with a salute to Mr Kim.

This continued for the whole lesson, Xavier constantly talking to me about the most random things while I tried to catch up on the work and Mr Kim scolding him.
