"We set for today?" Rainer asks walking into Bio and sitting next Jess.

The tables were set up in pairs and funnily enough, I ended up next to Hayden. It was hard enough to deal with everyone on Friday when I came back to school.

Everyone still thought something happened between Hayden and me, and that I was pregnant with Xavier's baby.

Riley did apologize to me profusely though when she saw me at lunch. She pulled me aside and offered to – in her words, "Rip her overpriced highlights out and knock some decency into the she-devil.".

That was somewhere between some colorful language choices that I think would put Gordan Ramsey's insults to shame.

Though, I'm still on edge today. Alex didn't end up showing up to school on Friday and nothing was spread about me over the weekend. I checked... multiple times.

So, things hadn't changed much. Ty and I were still staying at Xavier's. Mom wasn't happy about that; she sent me texts all weekend, but I refused to answer any of them.

She didn't even care to ask how we were doing or how I was doing after seeing her with that man. Though it doesn't surprise me, I just thought she might be a little bit more... bearable, considerate even considering the situation.

"Paisley? You alright?" Rainer grips my shoulder worriedly.

I was just standing there for at least a good minute or two without answering her so...

"Yeah, Yeah! Just nervous. I haven't sung for an audience this big before." I answer, tuning back into my surroundings.

Rainer's lips turn up in a sympathetic smile and she squeezes my shoulder. "You'll be great. If you sing like you do in rehearsals, you'll be getting a standing ovation for sure."

I smile at her and nod my head shaking off as many nerves as I can.

When Miss Daniels walks in, Rainer took her seat next to Jess while Mason and Frasier took the seats behind them.

Alex wasn't in class again today, but I still had a bad feeling about the whole situation.

I just hope everything goes to plan so I can be done with today.
