"You can tell me" Xavier grabs my hand and I can hear the way his voice softened compared to before.
Easier said than done.
I'm at that point where I really need and want to tell him, but there's this niggling, annoying voice that keeps pulling me back. I'm tired of keeping this a secret and not letting anybody in.
Why can't I just get the words out?
"About the... kiss..."
God, I'm a coward.
Alex has really got into my head and it doesn't help with the message I got from her either when I checked my phone when I went to shower.
Alex: U BITCH! U WAIT EVERYONES GONNA KNOW WHO U REALLY ARE MURDERER! I KNOW YOUR WITH HIM
She definitely ain't in AP English with her punctuation and grammar.
I don't know how she found out I was with Xavier, but she did, and in less than 16-hours everyone will know what happened.
"Yeah...?" He prompts, I can already see he's hesitant to talk about it.
It was the first thing that came to my mind that could possibly explain why I was acting the way I was earlier and me wanting to talk to him.
"I...I don't know where this puts us," I say awkwardly.
Truthfully, the question has been running through my mind ever since it happened. I just didn't plan on bringing it up, at least this soon anyway.
"I guess that depends on you." He looks me in the eye, searching for something.
I don't know what I expected him to say, but that definitely wasn't it.
"Look, I haven't told you everything 'cause there's stuff I'm not ready to say either... but... I'm not gonna lie to you. I love being friends with you, but I think we both know what we did today is more than what 'friends' should do. And what's been going through my head even before the kiss." He admits chuckling to himself and scratching the back of his neck.
