You know how you always know one of those people that can eat absolutely anything and not gain anything at all? Yeah, well that's Xavier right now. He ate not only his meal but mine as well.

He very highly insisted that this was the best diner in the world. "This diner right here is a hidden piece of paradise. Even the toughest food critics who've come here have left satisfied beyond their taste bud's high expectations. So, without further ado... I welcome you to Mama Rose!" He pulled the door wide open and gestured to the inside like a tour guide welcoming guests into the White House.

The interior was something similar to Pop's Choc Lit shop right out of Riverdale minus the four musketeers.

We were seated in a booth towards the back of the small diner away from most of the other customers here for their lunch. Xavier ordered his own meal – well they waitress already knew his order since he comes here so regularly, I'm told, and demolished it in a matter of minutes and then continued to eat the rest of mine too.

It was delicious don't get me wrong but, they were huge! I was so full only halfway through my meal and I felt like I was going to combust if I even had one more bite of my burger.

"How can you eat so much? Where does it even go?" I asked incredulously, discreetly loosening my jeans button under the table.

I think we've all been there, am I right?

"I'm a growing man, I need my strength." He pulled his arm up and flexed it, with a cheeky grin dancing across his face.

Peyton and I both snorted at that until a Xavier frowned and pouted, making us burst out into a fit of laughter. Our reaction only caused his frown to deepen further.

"Shut up." He muttered, a ghost of a smile on his face as he stalked over to the register to pay. I stumbled out of my seat behind him, carrying my purse in hand.

Yes, that's right ladies listen up. I'm paying for my own meal, not depending on the guy to pay. It certainly isn't any first date of any kind but, the principle still stands.

"Morning Mama Noams" Xavier said smiling brightly at the middle-aged woman. Her here had been shaved along the sides, leaving some curly foiled locks atop her head.

"Morning? Half the day's practically over." She laughed heartily.

"Ha-ha-ha," Xavier replied with a deadpan look, though his eyes still had that spark to them.

"Why aren't you at school?" The woman narrowed her eyes at Xavier and flickered them between him, Xavier, Peyton and me.

"Slept in." Xavier shrugged. "Plus, we had to show this little lady here where the best burgers and shakes are made." He flashed her a million-dollar smile.

Or maybe it was because my boobs made a great pillow for his fat head?

"And who's this you've brought with you?" The woman directed her attention towards me, her face giving lit up with curiosity.
