I'm so glad we have a short week this week. No school on Thursday or Friday so we get a four-day weekend!
Xavier had said that he and Peyton would be over sometime in the morning since they had nothing special going on at home with just the two of them.
So here I was at 7:14 am showering and finding an outfit that is cute but doesn't look like I tried too hard, ya know? I know once it gets later though that I'm probably gonna end up in sweats and hoodie. Probably Xavier's hoodie.
I finally decided on black knee ripped jeans, a thick grey hoodie of Xavier's and fluffy red socks. What? My feet were cold.
"Hey, Ty! You hungry?" I yell out of my room.
"Yes!" He called back probably from his room.
"What do you feel like?" I say, walking into his room so we're not yelling so early in the morning.
"Waffles?" Smiling hopefully.
I roll my eyes and smile back, "Alright then, just for you." I ruffle his hair to which he glared at me.
"Wait. You're wearing those?" He asks sceptically pointing down to my fluffy socks.
"What? My feet are cold." I look down at my socks with a pout.
Were they really that bad?
"Alright..." He puts his hands up in surrender and walks past me to the bathroom.
Maybe I should put normal socks on, or slippers. No, I like my socks. They're comfy and soft and keep my feet warm. Normal socks don't do anything.
I make my way into the kitchen and start to pull out all the ingredients I need but quickly realise there's no milk left. Damn, I forgot I used the last of it last night to make a hot chocolate.
Crap. It's too cold outside to walk to the store. Plus, most are closed anyway because it's Thanksgiving. Maybe Xavier's on his way and he can pick some up.
Pulling out my phone I send him a quick text.
Paisley: Hey, have you left yet?
He responds instantaneously.
Xavier: Just about to, why?
Paisley: Do me a favour, pretty pretty please??
Xavier: What is it?
Paisley: Can you pick some milk up please?
Xavier: Any kind?
Paisley: Yup. Thank you!
Xavier: Algds. Be over soon.
Luckily, he hadn't left yet, otherwise we wouldn't be having waffles for breakfast or hot chocolates tonight with our roasted marshmallows. Waiting for the milk I decided to clean the house a bit more and measure out all the ingredients besides the milk.
