You know when you wake up and your nose is blocked, and your throat is dry from breathing through your mouth all night? Yeah, I hate that and that also happened to be me right now.

I really should've had a shower earlier last night instead of sitting in my wet underwear for a couple more hours.

Regretting my decisions, I get myself ready for school. Having another hot shower and bundling myself up in layers of clothes and a scarf.

I make sure Tyler is up and ready before we file out of the house and make our way to Tyler's school.

We walk and talk about how he's going at school and plan what we're gonna do for Thanksgiving together.

"What about an early dinner, watch some movies, set up the fire pit and roast some marshmallows and S'mores?" I suggest walking into his school gates. "We can just chill out. Yeah?"

"Okay, bye." Tyler waves and walks further into a group of boys playing handball.

I'm glad that he's made some friends even though he hasn't told me who punched him a couple weeks ago. At least I know he's not spending his lunchtimes on his Nintendo switch that mom replaced a few days after it happened. Well actually, she gave me the money to get it since she was – in her words – 'Busy deciding what outfit she should wear'. For what? I don't know. Didn't bother asking.

"Long time no see," A deep voice breaks me out of my thoughts.

I twist in a flash only to be met with Xavier's amused face. Ass.

"Paisley!!" Peyton pops up out of nowhere and crushes me in a hug.

"Hey Princess," I hug her back smiling at her infectious one.

"Wow, she gets a full welcome and hug, and what do I get? Not even a 'hi'" He pouts. Cutely if I may add.

I look up at Xavier amused. "Is someone jealous?" I tease.

"No," He defends with his arms crossed against his chest.

Peyton and I look at each other, a devious glint in our eyes. We both nod in understanding before we jump up and start singing, "Xavier's jealous! Xavier's jealous!"

His eyes pop open and he goes to grab us, though his attempt is pretty poor considering we easily slip out of his grasp.

"You're going to regret that," An equal mischievous and determined look appears on his face.

Peyton and I both look at each other before yelling at the same time. "RUN!"

I grab her hand we run hand-in-hand around the courtyard of the school, Xavier chasing us too closely behind.

"I'm gonna getcha!" He says in a creepy voice.

We run behind a table and he stands on the other side, "Never!" Peyton and I sing in unison.
