"Where were you yesterday? You flaked on your third day!" Jess exclaimed. "I know we aren't the best school but, you're third day! Really?"
Did I already mention that I'm 99.99% sure that Jess is very extra? Well, now I have.
I walked into class 0.325950 seconds ago and already she's down my throat about where I was yesterday. Though it might not have helped that I didn't reply to any of her texts asking why I wasn't at school yesterday.
Hey! In my defence, I was really tired after yesterday. Too tired to text. No, but seriously, Peyton's like an excited Labrador when she's on a sugar rush; she has so much energy. Xavier and I spent majority of the rest of the day trying to keep up with her at the park.
As much fun as I did have yesterday, I'm not gonna tell her that. If I say that I was with Xavier, then I'll have to explain why I was with Xavier, and I'm not about to tell her that he was there to nurse my hysterical meltdown.
I could just say that I was babysitting Peyton for him – which technically I was – but then I'd also have to explain how I came to be babysitting Peyton.
"I had to help my Mom unpack some stuff for the house," I replied nonchalantly shrugging it off.
It really isn't the best start here having my second day off of school, though it could be worse; I could've skipped the first day.
"Why didn't you text me that?" She replied exasperatedly.
"My phone was in my room all day and I passed out as soon as my head it the pillow."
So many lies. Sleep was the last thing I got last night.
She nodded her head in understanding and made an 'O' with her mouth.
Walking into the changing rooms, we changed into our gym clothes and made our way into the gym where the others were waiting for the lesson to start.
By the time lunch came around, I was about ready to eat an entire buffet to myself. Rainer and I found a table next to the windows that looked out onto the courtyard and started eating while we waited for Jess.
Jess sat at the table a couple minutes later, followed by Isaac who had some very important news to tell us. His words, not mine.
"Guess what."
"What?" We said in sync.
"Deadpool two premieres tonight!" He said in all seriousness like it was a life or death matter.
"WHAT! THAT'S TONIGHT?!" Rainer blurts out, eyes bulging. "I thought it was due to drop next week!" She exclaims incredulously.
"It's an early premiere," Isaac explains with a giant smile on his face. "So, you in?" His eyes sweep over Jess and me after staying fixed on Rainer for a few seconds longer.
