Jim breathed in a shakily, clutching the small velvet box through his jean pocket. He had wanted to do this for so long, but now, he finally had the courage to ask.

His heart began to race when he arrived at the studio, and he sat there for a long while.

He jumped when his phone buzzed, and he fished it out of his pocket to see who it was.

There were two messages flashing on his phone. One from Craig, one from Corey.

Craig: babe where are you? It only takes a couple minutes to get here.

Corey: go get em tiger ;)

Jim sighed, and tentatively opened his car door. He would've preferred to bring his bike, but it was cold as fuck outside and he needed a vehicle he could potentially cry in if he gets rejected.

He frowned at that thought. Craig wouldn't do that...right?

Fuck it, Jim thought, and sauntered into the studio.

He knew exactly where Craig would be. He was always perched up in his little corner with his sample table and keyboard, playing with sounds and seeing which ones complimented each other the most.

When he walked into the room, he was correct. There Craig was, hunched over, playing an irregular chord on his keyboard, obviously oblivious to Jim standing there.

Jim cleared his throat, and Craig looked up and grinned.

"Hi Jim." Craig whispered inaudiblely.

Jim gave Craig a small side smile that you could barely see through his beard. But Craig knew that smile good and well.

"What are you working on babe?"

Craig subconsciously pressed one of the keys gently. "Oh, just a melody that I think Corey would like. I already named it."

"What's it called?"

"All Out Life." Craig replied.

Jim nodded, "I'm sure it'll be great."

Craig looked at his partner suspiciously then. Jim had been acting a little off for almost a month now. Craig couldn't pin-point it though, because Jim has never acted like this before.

There was silence between the two, and Craig wrapped his arms around Jim's waist. "Hey, is there something wrong? You've been acting strange lately."

Jim looked away from his partner, embarrassed. Shit, he noticed.

Before he could respond, Craig pressed a chaste lips against Jim's. "Hey, you can talk to me about anything you know."

After a few moments of looking at Craig, Jim sighed loudly in attempt to calm his nerves, but his attempt was extremely vain.

"Craig, you know I love you right?"

Craig raised an eyebrow. "Of course I do. You show me endless love and affection every day. Why?"

Jim bit his lip through his beard and said, "There are a couple things I want to change about our relationship."

A worried expression stretched across Craig's features. "L-like what?"

Jim took a shaky breath. "Well first, I don't want you to be my boyfriend anymore."

"Wha-" Craig began to panic, but Jim put his hand up to stop him.

"Second, I want to change your last name."

Jim got on his knee. "And thirdly," he took the small velvet box out of his pocket, "I want you to wear this at all times."

Craig looked at Jim dumbfounded. A hand over his face with tears in his eyes. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

Jim took a deep breath. "Craig," he opened the box, "will you marry me?"
