"Who's there...?"

"Sorry Mae, I thought you were sleeping with Penelope" Mae looked up to see the boy. The moonlight showed his messy blond hair and his green eyes shined from the reflection. He wore his boxers and a baggy white shirt.

"What's wrong?" Mae asked Conor, wondering why he wasn't asleep.
"Toby kicked me out of bed and Pj's snoring has been keeping me up" he answered her. Conor wasn't sure if he would be able to go back to sleep.
"Actually, I'm struggling to stay asleep" Mae sat up, the blanket was still wrapped around her. Her hair was also messy despite the fact that it's short and decently thin.

"So we're both on the same boat. Do you want to sit on the patio and... I don't know... talk?" Conor suggested.
"Sure," Mae stood up with the blanket wrapped around her. She followed Conor as he opened the sliding door and went outside. He quietly closed the door and sat on the ground next to Mae. She was willing to give some of the blankets to Conor so he won't get cold.

The two just sat in silence for a while. Both taking in the scenery, the moon reflected perfectly against the ocean. The breeze of the nightly wind gave them chills. It felt like a scene from a movie, too hard to believe. They were both too infatuated by the scenery but ended up giving each other more attention. "Are you getting any of your memories back?" Conor asked, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, I'm starting to learn more about myself," Mae told him.
Conor nod before saying, "you've seemed to have an interest in singing and you're amazing."
Mae looked down she didn't say anything else.
"Sorry, I know you don't want to talk about it, but I think you should know that," Conor said, he felt bad for embarrassing her. He knew that Mae wouldn't want to talk about her singing. She was insecure when he walked in on her singing, but still, he had questions.

"Thanks, I just...well... never mind" Mae shook her head. She wasn't sure she was up for a heartfelt conversation with Conor. "Don't worry, I'm not here to judge" Conor smiled. It was always his smile that made everyone welcomed. Mae's insecurities start to disappear with Conor around. "That song means a lot to me but whenever I sing it I feel evil" Mae admitted.
"Why do you sing it?" Conor asked.
"It helps me remember..." Mae sighed.
"What did you remember?"
"I remember that I like to sing"
Conor chuckled, "I wasn't expecting that."
Mae smiled, gazing upon the glistening ocean.

"There's not much to learn about me, how about you" Conor looked at Mae and nod. He should've known that since she was claimed to have amnesia.
"I don't know where to start" Conor gave a light chuckle.
"Anywhere is a good start, how about future plan and goals?" Mae asked.
"That's a big subject but I do know my plans" Conor told her. Mae nod as she continued to listen to him.

"I have Albany to start my music pathway but I also want to be a filmmaker. I just really want to make a film" Conor said, he dreamed so much of filming a movie ever since he was a child.
"What kind of film?" Mae asked.
"Remember those movies we watched..." Mae nod in response. "I want to do something like that," Conor said he stared up at the stars. He wondered how the future would be like a lot of thoughts ran through his mind.

"You can do a duet with Pj, that would give you a big leap in your career choice," Conor said as soon as the idea came to mind.
"There is no way I can exploit my singing for everyone to hear," Mae said in a defensive way.
"Then what would you do?" Conor asked, he wanted to persuade her to do it but didn't plan to take it too far since she is uncomfortable about the idea.
"The Swirl Station has been working out great, for now, it helped me pay off the debt that Penelope has done for me" Mae explained. She didn't have any plans for her next job and hasn't even thought about college.

"Pj has been getting on to Penelope for being too kind to people," Conor said smiling at the thought of how considerate his friend is.
"He looks after everyone especially you, how come?" Mae asked as the conversation started to take a turn.
"Well, I... this is so embarrassing" Conor covered his face for a second before looking towards Mae.
"So I have a problem... Pj says that I'm too naïve. And it caused me to get hurt in the past, so now Pj is looking after me so it doesn't repeat" Conor explained the whole scenario to her.
"I see, you are too much of a good person and it's painful to see someone hurt you," Mae said in the perspective of Pj.

Conor's face started heating up and felt too embarrassed to say anything else.
"I'm not trying to say this to even with you but... I've felt someone has hurt me. But I won't be able to remember it" Mae said. Conor started to feel a lot better, knowing how Mae's been feeling.
"I don't know what's worse" he smiled, trying to make the situation better than what it seems. Conor sighed, he enjoyed the night but knew better than to keep Mae out all night.

"I'm so glad we could have this time to be together and talk, but we should go inside and at least attempt to fall asleep," Conor said as he gave the blanket back to Mae.
"Yeah, this was relaxing so I may have a chance at falling asleep" Mae smiled as she wrapped the blanket around her. The two stood up and walked inside the house. The temperature didn't make a huge difference since the summer air made the night feel moderate. "Hey, maybe we can hang out tomorrow since tomorrow we both have nothing to do?" Conor suggested.
"Sure, but I might warn that Libby really wants to hang out with me," Mae told him, she made sure to whisper so she doesn't wake anyone up.

"Where will you be sleeping?" Mae asked.
"I'll try and sleep with Pj, don't worry about me," Conor told her. Mae just nods before they both exchanged their 'good nights.'

Mae laid back on the couch, finding a comfy position. She started feeling pain on her chest. Mae knew it was the guilt she felt for not telling Conor everything. But it will happen eventually.
