Mae was a siren again. This time she was talking to Brixon. They do talk occasionally by not one-on-one. It was different but still felt right. Brixon had a dark blue tail it blended into the water at a distance. Mae has a light green tail. Some say it's plain but there are times that plain is unique. In a world where everyone is trying to be different, be the one that is unlike others. Look plain while the others look the same in exotic ways.

Brixon points out that most people aren't normal. Why not try an live a normal life? You can't. No matter what there is a quality that makes you, unlike the rest. Everyone always competes to be different while you can achieve it with normality. But then, there is no way to reach being normal. So, what is this lesson? Mae wonders why this is irrelevant. Brixon tells her. Being weird and outstanding to impress the world with yourself isn't worth it. Just be yourself and allow the world to find your unique qualities, don't make them yourself.

Was that the lesson? Why can't Mae remember what he was telling her? Her frustration leaked out towards Brixon.

"Mae, relax. Don't exert your mind too much," Brixon told her. He would always give her a bright smile so she would know everything is fine. Almost instantly her mind felt cleared and all her problems seemed to be gone. Brixon was special in a way to make people feel better.

"Look down," Brixon instructed her. Mae did as she was told and noticed she now has feet. She looked up to see that Brixon was now human. It was a new look especially to see what kind of clothes he's wearing. Brixon wore a simple gray hoodie with blue jeans. Mae's clothes were much more sophisticated than his. She wore a black pencil skirt and a floral blouse. Both were standing on the rocky area of the boardwalk before it blew up. Everything was normal and at peace.

"Mae, I want you to learn one thing," Brixon spoke. Mae stares at him but doesn't say anything. "Sometimes we have plans but there will be evil in the world that'll ruin it. You need to know that you just have to accept fate. It's harsh but true," Brixon explained. Mae listened to every word but couldn't help but notice the skies. The once blue sky was now covered with dark grey clouds.

Brixon looked up then back at Mae, his expression was now panic. "I have to go," he told her. "Why?" Mae asked him before he could leave.
"Something big is about to go don, good luck," Brixon walked to the edge of the rocks. He jumped off but instead of falling, he flew. He went up towards the cloudy skies where he was accepted.

Mae woke up with no clue where she was at. She could barely remember a thing. Mae sat up to take in her surroundings. That's when everything clicked. William, the police station, then the hospital. There was a sense of anxiety, she couldn't get a hold of her friends from last night. Conor would be fine if Mae left in search of the others. The only problem was that she had no one to take her. Not only that, she has no clue where they are at.

She walked out of the room and down the hallway. This time there were more people walking through the hallways. Mae made her way to the waiting room, trying her best to not get questioned. She still felt people giving her a questionable stare. But she easily brushed it.

Eventually, she walked into the waiting room but it was wrong timing. Mae found the receptionist arguing with a man. She couldn't help but overhear their conversation.
"This is not a good time to see him," the receptionist told the man.
"Why can't I know how my brother is doing?" The man questioned her.
"He is currently going through a checkup, you can come in later," the receptionist explained.
"I can't I have to go to work,"
"Then I'll tell him that you stopped by,"
"Fine," the man gave a heavy sigh.
"Your name?"
"Jason Cornwallis, and tell Allen 'what the hell he's thinking?!'" The man turned around and walked straight out of the door.

The receptionist gave a sigh as the main finally left. Mae saw an opportunity and followed Jason out of the hospital. "Excuse me, sir," Mae called her voice wasn't too loud but was enough to get his attention. Jason turned around he had an annoyed expression. "What do you want?" He asked her in a stern and tired tone. "Are you perhaps related to Allen Cornwallis?" She asked him. Both were standing at the parking lot, only a few inches apart.

"Why does it matter to you?" Jason questioned her.
"I'm a good friend of his and I need help," Mae confesses.
"You have nothing to offer me so why would I help you?" He asked. Mae was afraid that she lost her chance but it wasn't time for her to give up. "How much do you know about what happened to Allen?" Mae questioned him. Jason gave a confused look at what she was trying to do.
"All I know was Allen was swimming around during high tide and got swept into the water. That boy is dumb but this has to be the dumbest thing he has ever done," Jason was ready to turn around to leave but Mae spoke. "That's not what entirely happened, I was with him and saw everything."

Jason cocked his head. He wasn't sure if he believes this strange girl. "How do I know you aren't lying?" He asked her. "My boyfriend got hurt too, he was the one that saved me. There were four of us but only three survived. When I found Allen he was bleeding and his body was badly bruised," Mae explained. Jason stares at her for almost a minute, he was considering to bring the girl along.
"Before I can do anything, what do you want?" Jason asked her.
"I need a ride to find my friends,"
"That's it?" Jason raises an eyebrow. Mae only nods, hoping to have him in her side.

"Alright, get in my car and we can talk more," Jason pulled out his car keys and started walking to his car. Mae followed behind him but no words were exchanged. Both of them got in the car, it was awkwardly quiet. "So why were you out on the beach pass midnight?" Jason began the questions.
"We were looking for something important, I'm not sure what it is," Mae explained.
"Why not?" Jason didn't want the woman to be lying to him.
"It was a matter that only Nelson, Penelope, Eddie, and Berwald can discuss," Mae explained. Jason recognized two of the names so the woman's story must be genuine.

Jason pulled out of the parking lot. "Did you find it?" Jason asked. "I don't know, I was sent to the police station with no contact with my friends," Mae explained.
"How did you get to the hospital?" He asked.
"A police officer brought me here to be with Conor,"
"Wait. Conor from Albany?" Jason questioned m, he sounded surprised.
"Yeah, he's my boyfriend," Mae told him.
"Then you must be Mae, I'm a big fan of Albany," Mae smiles, she was glad to have Allen's brother on her side.

"Sorry that I was harsh, it gets on my nerves when people hide stuff from me," Jason explains himself. Mae felt that Jason's trust in her was going to change real soon. "Anyways, where would you like to go?" Jason asked. Mae wanted to bask at the moment where Jason acted friendlier than how he was earlier. "The police station," Mae said. Jason smiles as he drove down the road. He did continue to ask questions but more lightheartedly. Mae appreciates it and felt more relaxed about the ride.
