"What is happening?" Berwald, like everyone else, is trying to fight against a strong current. It started all of a sudden and no one knew what to do or what was happening. Even Micah was puzzled to why the currents have changed. "What did you do?" Callie question Micah, she knew that Micah was part of it somehow. Everything terrible that has happened always turned out to be the work of Micah.
"I performed the siren disappearance spell," Micah admitted to them. Brixon felt extremely angry for the choice that Micah had made. "Why would you do that, only 1% could succeed that spell?!" He questioned him. He wanted to keep going to show how passionately angry he was at him. "We need to stop this," Penelope told them.
"How do we do that?" Nelson asked.
"We need the escorts, the only one we could trust right now is Venilia. I hope she has recovered because we need her now," Brixon explained to the group. They chose to split up so they could find humans faster. Rules had to be established first since Brixon is worried for them. Rule one: stay as far away from the portal as possible. Rule Two: meet up at the ritual spot when contact is made. Rule Three: don't listen to anything that Micah says. Rule Four: No one is allowed to wander off. Rule Five/final rule: be as swift as possible. With that instructed, Brixon put the groups together. He allowed his siblings to go together to the boating area. While he and the rest of the sirens going to the boardwalk dock.
"Micah, this is your mess so you'll help us," Brixon said as he looked around. What made his blood boil was that Micah had left them. Now they were forced to clean up his mess. "Let's go and hurry," Brixon said as everyone separated.
Logan stayed by Brixon's side as they swam. It was awkwardly quiet especially with all that has happened. Brixon was the first to notice and decided to speak up. "Sorry, about that outburst back there. You probably didn't expect me to be that type of person," Brixon apologized for his commanding attitude. Logan shook his jeans before saying, "I didn't mind, you just stood up for justice and you should be praised for that." That comment made Brixon feel better and not feel like a control freak.
"There's the dock," Fawn pointed as she swam to the surface of the ocean. To her disappointment, Conor and Mae were no longer sitting on the dock. "I guess they already left," Fawn sighed. The rest reached the surface of the water and looked around. "Wait, there are people on the beach," Callie noticed four figures standing on the beach. It was hard to notice who they are from the distance but it ought to be them. Who else would be at the boardwalk this late at night?
"I'll go talk to them," Logan offered. With the necklace, he was able to transform into a human. So none of the sirens have to risk getting washed up on the beach. "Alright, be careful," Brixon told him. Logan nod as he began to swim towards the shore of the beach. Once his tail hit the sand, Logan pulled off his necklace. His tail turned into feet and he was now walking on the beach. Logan started to emerge from the water and captured the attention of the four people on the beach.
"Logan?! What are...?" Allen questioned but he had no idea wang he was going to say. "Can't explain, my friends need your help," Logan didn't hesitate to inform that he is in the middle of a crisis. He got them all up-to-date on what happened. Starting from him falling off the boat to finding Venilia. He even told them that Callie, Fawn, and Brixon were waiting on him.
"I'll go get Ashley," Libby told the group.
"Wait, Ashley?" Logan asked.
"She's Venilia, I have to go," Libby didn't want to take too long explaining the details. Instead, she ran off the beach and onto the boardwalk. No one could see where she went from there."If the portal is sucking in everything, wouldn't that affect the waves?" Conor asked. His gaze wasn't on any of them, instead, he was looking past them. Allen noticed that Conor was staring at something else, he was the first to look back. Logan and Mae followed his instincts. A giant wave of water splashes over the mountain of rocks. It collided with other waves creating a large wave to the beach.
Mae could only remember a little bit of what happened after that. She remembered Conor yelling her name and covering her with his body. Everything went black and she forgot what happened after that.
Libby pounded on the door to Toby's house. She couldn't burst in the house with the door locked. Finally, Toby answered the door, he was irritated by the knocking. "Where's Ashley?" Libby asked as she walked into the house. Toby couldn't say anything as she just walked in. "She's warming up in the kitchen," Toby told her. Libby saw her on the dining room table, holding a mug. She had a towel wrapped around her shoulders. Ashley's hair was still gone and she still wore the same clothes.
"Ashley we need you. Someone created a portal wrong and it's now destroying sea life," Libby explains, she rushed to grab Ashley. It sounded insane to any con-goer but Ashley understood what Libby was trying to say. "Alright, we have to hurry," Ashley set her mug down and knocked the towel off her shoulders. Toby was standing in the living room listening to what they are saying.
Libby ran out the door with Ashley behind her. Ashley looked back at Tony before saying, "c' mon, you need to drive us."
"Wait, I don't understand what is happening," Toby told her. He wanted to wrap his mind around everything but it was much harder then he anticipated.
"I'll explain on the way, but we must hurry," Ashley told him.
Toby nod before picking up his keys. He followed Ashley out the door and into the car. Toby pulled out of the driveway then Ashley explained the deal."Allen is not picking up," Pj looked up at Darrel. Something wasn't right. He texted him five minutes earlier that they caught up with the siblings. There was no reply and it was unlike Allen to be silent during this type of situation. "Call Libby," Eddie suggested. Pj nod as he began to call her. The phone rang until he heard a response. The group felt so relieved to hear from her.
"What's up?" Libby replies.
"Where are you right now?" Pj asked her.
"In the truck with Toby and Ashley," Libby told him.
"So you're not with Allen, Mae, or Conor?"
"No what's going on?"
"Don't go to the beach, go to the boats. We are here with Penelope and the rest,"
"I'll tell Toby,"
"Good," Pj answered before he hung up.Pj looked down at his siren friends then at Darrel. "I'm so glad you made me call the others," Pj told him. It may not have helped the other three but at least no one else was harmed. Pj still felt hurt for the three that were on the beach. But what could he have done to help them?
