Maybe he was going a bit over the top for this. In one hand he had a giant stuffed bear and the other hand he had a bouquet of flowers. A card was attached to the bouquet, it was handwritten note that he spent a lot of time on. The stuff that he got was also worth a lot of money. He hoped that they were all worth it. Most are wondering, what is going on or who is this boy. That is for you to find out later.

The boy turned the corner and saw the lovely girl. That day she wore a pink dress in honor for the holiday. He took a deep breath before approaching her with the gifts. To his eyes, she was a gorgeous and generous girl. He fell in love the day they became lab partners. Now he couldn't hold his feelings in any longer. He hopes that she shares the same affections as him. It made him even more nervous to get rejected.

"Courtney, I don't know how to do this but I love you a lot," the boy stuck the gifts out in front of him. It was almost impossible for him to look at her. Courtney closed her locker and tried to make eye contact with the brown eyed boy. She wanted to know if he was sincere with his confession. Courtney was about to say something but we interrupted.

"Oh wow Courtney, some standards you have," she looked up to see two of her friends watching and were judging her actions. The other friend gave a giggle at her other friend's remark. "Let's go, Alice, we don't want to disturb them," the other girl said. Both of them twirled on their heels and walked away. Courtney felt belittled to them. She believed she was equal with them but all thanks to one person she was looked down upon. Courtney looked him, the boy didn't even acknowledge her friends.

"Why would you do this?!" Courtney yanked the flowers out of his hands and threw them on the ground. The boy stared at Courtney in disbelief. He felt frightened by her and what she was about to say. "You are ruining my life! Why can't you leave me alone?" Courtney slammed her locker shut before stepping on the flowers. She walked passed the boy, ignoring his second gift for her. "I hope you are happy now Micheal because I'm not," Courtney sped away from him.

Micheal looked down at the stuffed bear, he didn't know what to do. His heart has been shattered to a million pieces. He thought she was a sweet and nurturing girl but now he was wrong. Micheal wasn't mad at Courtney but at himself. Of course, why would anyone like him? He's a disgusting human that shouldn't have existed. Life would be much better if he was never alive. And to think that anyone would even love him, he should've been smarter.

Micheal shoved the bear into a trash can before running out of the school. His house was only a mile away so he had no problem running there. He didn't care how much trouble he would be for ditching school. Micheal was too hurt to care. He wasn't sure that he would want to go to school again. Showing his face to the girl he liked would just bring him shame and embarrassment. Was that worth it?

Micheal opened the screen door to his house. Luckily, his mom was already at work. He wasn't up to get attacked by questions. But he knew it would happen if the school called her. Maybe if he ran away from home and never returned, the pain would go away. Everyone would want it that way. No one at school likes him or cares that he exists. His mom would be in a lot less pain without him.

Micheal ran towards his room and pulled out a suitcase from his closet. It was a black and old suitcase that could only hold a few items. He had to make sure he got the things he would desperately need. Clothes, blankets, food and a first aid kit was stuff into the suitcase. For precautions, he brought the money that he was saving up with him. Micheal had no use spending it on college or anything else but basic living.

The adventure starts now. Micheal walked down the street, through his old-fashioned town. He knew better than to stay in that area too long since people would recognize him. Micheal kept a low profile and put his hood. On-goers would just assume that he was a hobo just passing by. He had no other game plan but to continue walking. Micheal had to get as far as he could from the area. That would be a task since he could only go so far during the day.

Hours have passed, Micheal kept on walking. He didn't know what time it was or that anyone was searching for him. It was boring to continuously walk down a long road but Micheal's mind was occupied. The way that Courtney looked at him when he confessed his love. Then imagine his mother's face when she realizes he was gone, she should be pleased. Each step that was taken, more pieces of his heart kept falling apart. By the end of his journey, he would be a heartless man.

Micheal stopped walking once he saw the road he was taking was about to go to a freeway. He didn't want to be around the other noisy cars. It was time for him to take a new path. The woods seem like a good idea since it would be hard for people to find him in there. He could probably sleep there without getting detected by other humans. Once decided, Micheal walked into the woods.

Weaving around trees wasn't as hard as pulling his suitcase through the bumpy landscape. Going through the woods did slow him down but he did have a better chance of hiding there. Micheal pushed through some leaves until stumbling upon a muddy trail. It was all dried up so no one used it in a while. The trail must be some kind of sign for Micheal. It would be wrong to not follow the trail. Maybe something good would come out of following the trail. It would stay a mystery until he follows it.

The trail didn't last for too long until Micheal reached a valley. To get to the other side he would have to cross a sketchy rope bridge. Falling off the bridge would only lead him to his doom. Micheal ignored the warning signs as he made his way through the bridge. The suitcase was right behind him as he walked. Micheal heard a snapping noise and stopped. He looked around hoping that he wasn't in any danger.

Micheal took another step and this time he heard a cracking noise. This time he knew it was from the bridge. The planks have gotten old and weak so it could barely support Micheal. Now he was stuck. Going backward means he would be stepping on the already broken wood. Moving forward would make him put more weight on the wood and could cause it to also break.

Micheal had a plan but doesn't expect it to go well. He quickly lunged forward trying to avoid putting pressure on the one wood. In the end, it didn't go too well. The wood cracked and one of Micheal's leg went through it. His other leg was free to lift him up but underneath the wood wasn't anymore supports. Micheal tightly gripped onto the rope and squeezed his eyes shut.

Nothing could go right for him. No matter what he would be hurt or tortured physically and mentally. Why did he deserve this? Micheal only wanted to be a normal teenager and grow up like everyone else. Was he cursed to only be miserable? A tear rolled down Micheal's cheek, he knew that he deserved this. He only deserves to be unhappy and to always be hurt. People like him aren't meant to have a happy ending. He wanted a happy ending and for all to end happily ever after. For Micheal, he was only blessed with a sad ending.

"Why is this happening? Why don't I get a happy ending?" Micheal questioned. His voice was shaky from trying to keep himself from falling. Micheal had no idea who he was talking to but it felt like he should be saying something. Someone had to be listening to him.

Micheal tried to pull himself up with his feet and arms. The wood was too weak to support his weight and broken in half. His muscles started getting pulled until it was unbearable. Micheal plummeted to his death.
