"Is anyone hurt? Micah just tried to attack me and Logan," Brixon asked his other siblings. Everyone is together including Callie. Penelope was confused once she saw Logan with Brixon. She was glad that she wasn't the only one. "Logan, how are you a siren?" Eddie bluntly asked. Logan smiled as he touched his necklace. "I put this necklace on and now I have a tail," he explained.
"Ignore Logan, we all have to stay together," Brixon told them. He wasn't about to risk the lives of the people he cared for. All of their powers together could possibly be enough to beat Micah. Rhodes of extremely strong armor that could be used to block the attacks. Proteus can manipulate the water currents. Benthesikyme could contact water life. Triton can create flashes or change the lighting of the water.
"Wait, where's Fawn?" Brixon asked. Fawn was nowhere to be found. "She went to the dock to find Mae and the rest," Callie told him. She had no control since she really wanted to do something on her own. "I hope that she's okay," Brixon said.
"Is this what you call okay?" Everyone turned around and saw Micah. He was holding the end of his trident against Fawn's face. "I'm sorry, I ruined everything, please don't make me bring you down," Fawn begged for them. She would rather own up to her mistakes than to bring the team down. Fawn squirmed around in Micah's grasp but he was too strong.
"Why are you doing this? We are your closest friends and you chose to sacrifice us," Callie spoke up. She was getting tired with biting her tongue against Micah and his plan.
"Have you been ignoring me this whole month?" He asked the girl.
"I don't care who I hurt until my plan succeeds," Micah continues.
"But why must we pay?"
"Some happy endings only exist if people are sacrificed,"
"That's not true, the people around you are what makes you happy,"
"Unless they hurt your trust and humiliate you for no reason," Micah glared at.
"That's why we make new friends, join us and we can all be happy," Callie stuck her hand out towards Micah. She wanted him to know that she cares and won't hurt him. But gaining his trust would be difficult."How am I supposed to be happy?! Everyone here is going to find a way to leave and I'll no longer have anyone!" Micah yelled at her. Callie flinched at the suddenness of his anger. "That's enough!" Nelson tried to stop them. He hated the fact that he had to endure being a siren again but now his fellow sirens are fighting. "Stay out! You're not worth my time," Micah spoke, not caring that Nelson's feelings were going to be hurt.
"Don't talk to Martin like that, he's a nice boy," Fawn struggles to say without getting stabbed with the trident. "Shut up!" Micah screamed. Nelson jumped and quickly stuck his hand out. The water around spun like a cyclone. The aim was spot on to Micah. Everyone was in shock, especially Nelson. He never learned about his powers or his belief in having any. Now it feels too surreal. Nelson slowly retracted his hand, eyes were exchanged between him and the rest.
The water cleared out giving back its transparency. Micah was violently jerked away, floating farther from them by the whirlpool. Fawn reach the bottom of the ocean floor, yet to recover from the sudden attack. Nelson's eyes focused on her as he sped down to see her. "Please forgive, I didn't want to hurt you," Nelson tried to help the girl up. The best he could do was bring her to a sitting position. "You were wonderful, that is no reason to be upset with yourself," Fawn told him. It made Nelson feel more relieved knowing that Fawn was safe and proud of him.
"That was amazing, too bad I don't have any powers," Logan said, he still kept his enthusiasm from earlier. "Someday I could give you powers," Brixon turned towards Logan. He wasn't sure if it was possible but he would try. "Your the best," Logan swam into the hug. The two of them spun around until they let go. Both had huge smiles on their faces as they stared at each other.
"Shouldn't we look for the trident before that creep comes back?" Eddie asked but was afraid he ruined a moment. "Right, everyone let's stay together," Brixon turned his focus back to the mission. This time he wasn't going to risk anything. All of them would stay together so they can protect each other as a group. One siren going against eight sirens would make his task almost impossible. Still, Micah had the advantage of the trident. None of them knew how much power it holds, some are afraid to see its true power.
What are the differences between Micah's trident and the Neptune's trident? As explained earlier Micah's trident is much weaker than Neptune's. For example, if both used the same spell but Micah was obviously stronger than the trident will make up for the missing strength. Spells are least likely to go wrong and some doesn't require a chant. It also has a lot more spells that are extremely powerful. Having it fall into the wrong hands would cause a disaster. Not saying that Micah's trident is weak since he does have one spell that could destroy the siren population.
Micah jerked up, knocking the sand that was all over his body. The whirlpool gave him a strong push to the ground, making him hit head first. It was a painful land but that wasn't going to cause Micah to slow down. Looking around, his trident was buried in the sand a couple of feet away. He picked it up glaring at the reflection of himself. "I'm done with these battles, this is where the war ends," Micah had bitterness in his mouth. His body was stiff and held a strong posture. His eyes glowed an ominous red as he looked up from his trident. Micah was about to make a mistake.
