It's started to get darker by the second, it was cold and dark. He didn't even get to say goodbye, Lance thought to himself as tears started to stream down his face as he held his stomach. He laid on the bedroom floor, he felt so cold. He wanted a blanket, he hated feeling cold, why was it getting so cold? He shivered into himself, crying to himself sprawled out on the floor.
Ten hours before Gala~~
"Hey! Lance!"
He turned around to see a certain short girl, her hazel hair bounced as she ran.
"You going to the gala tonight?" She asked, Lance looked confused and raised a brow.
"Gala?" He asked, Pidge smirked and walked in front of Lance, now walking backwards.
"It's when a bunch of students come together and we have a night to ourselves before midterms. We have fun, well some of us do. There's a game room." Pidge squeals, Lance laughs at the girl's excitement.
"Oh course I'll go. Do we have to dress fancy?" Lance asked, he looked ahead to see if there was any danger for the girl.
"Well, this years theme is masks, last year was space. But we have dress fancy, we always have to have the mask on." Pidge explains, Lance nods and smiled. Maneuvering the shorter girl when people almost knocked into the backwards girl.
Five hours before Gala.
"Babe just pick a mask, it's not like we're going to a fashion show." Keith laughs, Lance sticks out his tongue. Soon after what seem like forever to Keith, Lance picked out a baby blueish mask with white specks all over. Keith smiled and went to the cashier, he got a red mask with white specks on it. Each member of team Voltron followed the same patterns with different colors. Pidge with a green and Matt with a darker green than his sisters, Hunk with a yellow, Allura with a pink, Shiro with a black, and Lana with a purple. They all smiled and walked out the store, they planned to go to Allura's house and get ready for the night.
Two hours until the Gala.
"So who exactly is the host?" Pidge asks, the crew were all at Allura's they watched a couple movies but then decided to just chill.
"Of course the Galra Family, they host it every year." Allura said while rolling her eyes, the group groaning at the famous name.
"Why aren't you there helping Lana?" Pidge asked her, Lana scoffed and crossed her arms.
"I hate the Gala, I've been to a thousands. I absolutely hate everything about it." Lana complained, the group looked over at her.
"Then why go?" Shiro asked, Lana huffing then looking at the multi colored hair.
"Douche Lotor will tell father, I'd rather not hear him ramble about proper etiquette and hosting." Lana laughed, everyone nodding in understanding.
"It kinda seems boring to me, I've never been to a Gala before, so this must be interesting." Lance laughed, but the rest grumbled.
"No, it's not. It's so proper and dumb." Keith said, the others agreeing.
"The suits and dress are so confining and unnecessary. It's like we're living in the 1900's." Matt laughed, Pidge nodded as she looked up from her computer.
"Can't we skip it?" Lance asked, the rest shook their head.
"Trust me, we would if we could. But since Lotor's parents basically own the school, it's mandatory." Hunk explained, Lance nodded and getting up to get ready.
