I'm not even sure what Jason's going on about but I nod anyway, as long as I don't hear the word fight or any other word along those lines I'm just not interested. My mind is elsewhere and I can't seem to focus on anything else. The truth behind those beautiful green eyes that my own mate doesn't fucken trust me is bringing me to breaking point. Spending the last few nights with mike had me rethinking everything. I was so caught up in my position having to have everything perfect, everything in order just like clockwork, I was so wound up keeping things running smoothly that mike was spot on, what I really wanted was crumbling right before my eyes.
I tap my beer against Jason's as he laughs about something, I find myself laughing at the thought that I nearly killed him, twice, Fuck, I'm so lucky I didn't go through with it, the guy has heart and talent and I still can't believe alpha Hanes let him go so easily. Regardless of the history between he and Mia it's worth it. He's a good man and im honoured he accepted the position no matter his first intentions.
I glance at Liam to find he's already looking at me, I nod my head letting him know we gotta get moving

I look to Kelsey standing next to me. I give her a smile before I remember it's her that has my mate questioning me.
"I see you made it home safely last night" Jason says glancing at me
I know he's alert seeing her here next to me, I told him all about her not our history together but enough that he knows to keep an eye on her. I don't need anymore attention on fallen moon than there already is.
"Yes thankyou for escorting me out but i did tell you I knew my own way around" she says smiling sweetly at him
I know very well that smile isn't sweet the annoyance in her eyes is visible.
"I was actually wanting a word with you .. In private if you don't mind" she says placing her hand on my arm
I tense at her touch, if she was anyone else I would happily snap that hand off taking pleasure in doing so, the thought of it has me smiling.
"Stay close I'm sure alpha Ashwood isn't far" I mindlink Jason
He smiles at Kelsey not giving anything away as he turns back to the table behind us
"What is it" I say raising an eyebrow at her

I stare at her keeping my face blank. She's been drinking the look in her eyes tells me so. How she still throws herself at me I have no fucken clue. Yea she's fucken hot there's no doubt about it, the way her dress sits on her body doesn't leave much for the imagination, even though I already know what it feels like.
