Ethan ~
Mike continuing to call me for the past two days is fucken frustrating. This is the first time I have ever not assisted him and it's destroying me, he has finally pushed me too far. after everything we have been through He's managed to spin it so I'm the bad guy once again.
His guilt tripping always gets me But this time is different.
I look up to Jason entering as I shut my computer down satisfied that I have finally caught back up with everything.
"Sir"
I rub my face trying to clear my head leaning back in my chair as I watch him take a seat. I know why he's here again but I can't fault him for trying.
"They leave tomorrow" he reminds me
He's been 'reminding' me every fucken chance he gets.
"I know" I release a breath, I get it.
"How's Mia?" knowing she's been staying at his place the last few days. I haven't seen or heard from her since I kicked her out of my office, a part of me thought she would have come back home by now but she hasn't. I also haven't made the effort either.
"The same as last time you asked me"
I stare at him to continue making my annoyance known
"Managing .. you could always come see her.. talk to her? I know you have a lot on your plate but it would be good for both of you" he replies leaning back
I don't mind Mia staying with him he has my trust and that is hard to come by. I don't even bother checking through his mind anymore.
Least this time she's doesn't sound angry.
"You heard from mike again?" He asks changing the subject probably due to my silence.
"Yeah" I sigh
"Have you changed your mind?" His voice steady
I look to him as his eyes are hopeful
"No, the decision is made just except it" i answer bluntly
He doesn't get it. He never will.
"Can I go... maybe take a few with me?" He questions
"To do what.. leave here to never return" I state
"Both Ryan and James won't kill me, their orders will follow down the line"
Like he's so sure.
"That might be the case Jason but I'm sure alpha deans doesn't hold the same regard for you" I've never met alpha deans I actually don't know a lot about him but what I have heard he's a wolf that should no longer breathe.
He's not looking at the bigger picture his judgement is clouded
"But that's beside the point your so willing to go, for you know you will be protected"
even if what he is saying is true
"the same can't be said for those who you would take with you"
