I watch as Jason and Liam emerge back from the trees. A little confused on why carson is now with them. Their relaxed posture relaxes us all as we watch them all walk to towards us in conversation, I don't have the energy to tweak my senses to listen in"
"False alarm" Chloe nudges me as she gets up from the log near the tree line
I'm surprised to not see Ethan with them, the sound of a car in the distance causing havoc in the forest set the alarm before there was a massive bang and the black smoke began rising in the direction I have never explored.
The chatter comes to an end as the guys come to join our gathering. I watch as Jason looks around at us all.
"Shows over guys" he says loudly
Everyone disperses just leaving only a few of us still before him.
"Where's Ethan" I ask not understanding why everyone was here except him
"That my dear was Ethan" Sean says from behind me, I move to the side as he approaches our little circle.
Was him? I look back to the distance as the blackness from the smoke fills the sky my heart beginning to race.
"Is he ok" I begin to stress, my feelings of anger and hurt vanish like they were never there
"He will be better than ok" he smiles before turning to head back
"What was it" Chloe questions looking to Jason
He and Liam share a look as if they don't exactly understand what it was either.
"Just Ethan playing with cars I guess" Jason shrugs his shoulders
"It was his mother's car" Liam answers Chloe eyebrows furrowed
"He's always been a bit weird when it came to that car, I don't know why he stopped driving it ...can take a punch that's for sure" he continues
"Gotta go boys" Carson says patting Liam on the back and bumping fists with Jason
"Ladies" he nods his head towards Kelly, Chloe and I
They say there goodbyes as he heads back the same way he came through.
"Bro!" Jason shouts as Carson turns around
"I better see your face when you's get back"
he smiles to Jason as I see worry flash through his eyes before it's gone.
"What was he doing with the car" I interrupt their conversation with my thoughts.
"He burned it" Jason says simply with a shrug
I look back too the sky as it looks like the black smoke is starting to die down. He really wasn't kidding when he said he wanted to burn it.
Before I know it I'm running back towards the training field.
"Where are you going" Jason shouts from behind me, ignoring him I push harder as my feet skim the ground beneath me
"Luna" Sean says turning before I reach him
"You know about the car .. what does it mean to him?" I ask through breaths shit I really need to start my runs again
He gives me a knowing look before motioning us to continue to walk. I know I should be asking Ethan... but.. I'm asking Sean for I know I will get a straight answer instead of trying to diseifer everything he says.
"Did he show you it" he questions very curiously
"Kind of ... I asked him about it" my words causing Sean to smile...me not so much
