The crunching of the leaves, the smell of moss and damp wood.
My ears twitch as I search for a sound other than the paws pressing lightly to the ground and the steady faint beating of hearts.

The change of leadership is sudden

I watch as he breaks the edge of the trees coming into a clearing as we steadily follow his lead. He doesn't stop as the pace increases up the small hill bringing my steps to end, landing beside him.

We begin to descend the small hill as everyone eyes are on us. Both blackstorm and midnight blue back up instantly, the fight coming to an end. as horizon dawn begin to join us. I watch as James disappears around a corner of a large building.
We round the corner sensing Ethan is looking for something as he has payed no mind to any of the wolves we have past. and I bet it's mike.
There's a crowd up ahead as wolves are circled around and everyone is agitated. The sickening sounds coming from inside the large group has everyone's attention
James appears before us growling lowly eyes narrowed taking me by surprise. He's angry.
Ethan takes a step forward, giving him a warning his eyes black and focused on my brother. My heart skips a beat.
I unconsciously step in front of him. Positioning myself in between them.
