Sydney's POV
"So, about the eggs and bacon..." I say and scrunch my face slightly.
Yoongi looks at me and tilts his head, "Don't have any?""No, no, I do have some... they just went bad." I say and dramatically drop both things in the trash. "Remind me to take those out after breakfast or it'll stink up the whole house." I laugh.
Yoongi takes a deep breath in through his nose and lets it out trough his mouth. "That's my possible. This is he best smelling house I've ever been in." He looks around and smiles. "So, do you have any other breakfast foods?"
"I mean, I have pancake stuff, but I always burn them." I mumble and play with my hair a little bit. I'm an adult, I should know how to make pancakes.
"I can make them if you want. I don't mean to brag, but I'm pretty good at making pancakes." Yoongi smiles and holds up a spatula. His eyes crinkle at the sides and his gums show though his gorgeous smile. He has never looked more like boyfriend material than he does right now.
"Well, if you wanna make them, then go right ahead. The stuff is easy to find." I use one of the stools from my breakfast bar to jump up on the counter and have a seat.
I watch as Yoongi goes around the kitchen, taking out ingredients and utensils. His hair is messy and his clothes are wrinkled. He has every box checked for a walk of shame look. The one thing different about him that really stands out to me is his face.
Normally, every time I see his face, he has deep, dark circles under his eyes. His skin is very pale and not lively at all. He normally looks very sullen. But now... his eyes are light and sparkling. The dark circles are gone, and his skin... my god, his skin is beautiful. It seems so more alive than usual. The way he looks now (compared to normal) makes it look as if this is the first good sleep he's gotten in years.
"Hey Yoongi?" I break the silence between the two of us.
He turns around while he puts the dry ingredients together. "Yeah?" He looks at me but all I can look at is the floor on his chin and forehead.
I laugh and jump down from the counter. Grabbing a towel, I wipe all the floor off of his face gently. "You had floor all over you." I give him my excuse when he looks at me with the cutest confused expression.
"Anyway, I was just wondering..." I speak slowly as I scurry back up onto the counter. "Do you live alone?"
Yoongi scoffs and shakes his head, "No, I live with the boys in a dorm building." He turns back around to the food prep.
"You all live together?!" I exclaim. "How does that even work? Do you share a room with one of them? Do you guys all share a bathroom?" I bombard him with questions about his living situation. Now it's clear why he always looks tired.
"We can talk all about it while we eat, okay? I'm not too awake yet." He chuckles and looks back at me. "How about you do whatever you do in the mornings to get ready?"
"Are you just trying to shut me up?" I put my hands on my hips sassily.
Yoongi feigns surprise and shock, "How could I ever?!" He laughs afterwards and nods. "Yes, I am. But only because I'm not a morning person."
"Alright, Alright. I'll go ale a shower and be back when the food is done." I say and run down to the bathroom, wanting to clean myself quickly.
-
After my shower, I run down from my room and into the kitchen. "I smell something yummy!" I sing and slide into the room dramatically.
I see Yoongi setting the plates down and we each have three pancakes. "I hope they taste good, I tried my best." He mumbles.
Taking a seat, I can already tell that they're going to taste amazing. They're big and fluffy and they just smell absolutely amazing. "Thank you Yoongi. They looks delicious."
After doing a bit of cleaning up, Yoongi joins me at the table and we sit and eat.
-Two pancakes later, I remember we were talking about where he lives. "Yoongi!" I tend to yell things when I remember.. it's not on purpose, but it tends to startle people sometimes.
He jumps and a piece of pancake comes off of his fork and lands on the floor. "Aw man... why did you yell?" He slumps and stares at the pancake bite on the floor.
"We haven't talked about your house and how you live there and stuff. What's it like?" I ask.
"Well..." he shakes his head and smiles. "It's crazy. I don't share a room, I don't share a bathroom. I have my own space, but it's not much. And even though I have my own space, it doesn't block out the noise from all over the dorm." Min Yoongi takes mother bite and grimaces when he speaks about the dorm.
"It smells like a boys locker room, and it's always messy. There's never any good food in the house and..." he sighs and looks me in the eyes, "It's awful."
I nod and look at my pancakes sadly. "Why don't you move out?"
"I don't have anywhere to go, to be honest." He sighs again. I'm afraid that if he keeps sighing, he's gonna choke on air.
I look up and sit up straight, suddenly getting a great idea. "Why don't you stay with me for a while?"
