"I'm so glad we don't have a benchmark for awhile." Emily said walking into class with me. It was Monday and since it was 1st period, I was super tired.
We sat down in the middle of the classroom and waited for class to start. "So did you meet anyone at the party?" Emily asked. "No. I was with you guys the whole time." I laughed.
Something caught my eye. I looked up to see the person I bumped into at the party. Our eyes locked. I didn't know he was in this class. He was walking to the back but the whole time he kept his eyes on mine. They still had the same hurt, depressed look to them.
"Is that Peter?" Emily asked. I broke eye contact and looked at Emily. "Who?" I asked confused. "The boy—his name is Peter." She said. Then she gasped. "Did you meet him at the party?!" She whispered. "No, well yes. But I bumped into him and that's it." I said.
"But who is he?" I asked. "His name is Peter Green. He's kept to himself. He's not one of the people who get picked on but he's not cool either. A lot of people say he does drugs." Emily explained.
"Well does he?" I asked. "I'm not sure." Emily shrugged.
I looked behind me and saw Peter sitting in the back. He wore black jeans with a black ADIDAS hoodie. He caught me staring and I looked away real quick.

Me and my friends went to sit down at our normal seat but was surprised to see someone sitting there. I couldn't see their face but the hoodie was familiar.
Peter.
"Why is he here?" Alyssa asked. "I'm not sure." I shrugged. We sat down anyway but a bit farther from Peter.
"So did everyone like the party?" Alyssa asked. "I did." I said. "Me too." Emily said. Her cheeks turned a light pink. "I bet Kevin liked the party." I said nudging Emily. "Guys, Stop!" She said hiding her face in her hands.
"It's okay Emily. I think you and Kevin would look good together." Alyssa said. "Really?" Emily asked. "Yes. But what about poor Jayden?" She said.
"He moved on. I'm done with him." Emily said. "Okay. So that just means you have a better chance with Kevin." I informed.
Her eyes got wide. "But I don't like Kevin. I don't think." Emily said. "Yes you do." Alyssa laughed. "How so?" She asked. "When you kissed him, your face turned red and that only happens when you think of someone you like." I pointed out.
"Oh no!" Emily groaned. I heard Peter laugh. I turned to him with a confused look. He nodded his head at something behind me. I turned around to see Ethan, Kevin and Sadie. Alyssa saw them too and immediately stopped laughing.
"What?" Emily asked. She turned around and saw Kevin and her face turned a darker shade of red and she buried her head in her arms on the table. "Oh my gosh. My life is ruined." Emily mumbled. "It's okay." Kevin said rubbing his neck—his face just as red has Emily's.
"I'm putting this in my segment!" Alyssa squealed. "Well we just came to say hi. Emily we have a game today. Be ready." Sadie said leaving with the rest of them.
"For Math are you guys on 8.2 for the math homework?" I asked. "No were still on 7.2. Sorry." Alyssa shrugged. "How am I supposed to do my homework? It's due next period." I groaned.
"I can help you."
I completely forgot Peter was there. "You have Turner?" I asked him. "Yeah. We're in the same class." He said quietly.
I didn't know that.
"I sit in the back." He said as if reading my mind. "Can you help me?" I asked. He nodded and Alyssa laughed. "Omg, stop." I rolled my eyes.
