*Peter's POV*
"Hunter. How do you tie this thing?" I asked looking in the mirror. "What? You don't know how to tie a tie?" He asked tying it for me. "No." I said in a duh tone. He rolled his eyes. "Done." He said stepping back. "Looking sharp, Peter boy." He said. "Get out." I said in a playful tone. He checked his phone. "It's almost 4:00. Better get a move on." Hunter said.
He gave me the keys to his car and I began the ride to Riley's house. The drive there was quite anticipating. I felt nervous and scared. Finally making it to her house. I got out and rung the doorbell. A few minutes later the door opened and her brother, Ryder, stood in the doorway.
"Who are you?" He asked. "Ryder. Move. Go to your room." His mother said moving him out the way. "You're Peter, right?" she asked me. "Yes." I said. "You look handsome darling. Please come in." she stepped aside and let me in. Her brothers were standing by the door to the kitchen. "Riley, Peter's here." Her mom called.
I heard a door open upstairs and I looked up felt my breath hitch in my throat. "Hey Peter." she smiled at me coming downstairs. "H-Hey Riley." I stuttered. Her mom smiled. "Let's take a few pictures shall we?" She said moving Riley closer to me. She took out her phone and took some pictures of the two of us.
While the pictures were being taken her dad came downstairs. "So you're Peter." He said. "Hello, sir." I greeted. "Nice to finally meet you." he said shaking my hand. "Nice to meet you too." I smiled. "Dad, can you not? We have to go." Riley said.
"Now now, Riley. I just met the boy." her dad said. "So Peter do you have a car?" he asked. "Yes." I nodded. "You do have a license, right?" He asked. "Of course." I said. "Dad..." Riley rolled her eyes. "Okay. I'll let you two go. Have fun." He said. "Bye, Riley." Her mom said as we left.
Getting to the car I opened the door for her and she got in after closing the door I got in too. "How's your day?" I asked her. "Mine was good. You?" she asked. "Good." said. "You look...beautiful." I said staring at her. I saw her blush. "Thanks." she said. I started the car and drove to the dance.
***
Getting there we walked in and I began to look around. It was a formal dance with balloons and music and food. "Riley!" I heard someone shout. I looked in the direction of the sound and I saw Alyssa followed by the rest of the gang walking towards us. "Oh my gosh you guys look amazing." Sadie gushed.
"Thanks so do you guys." Riley smiled. "Peter!" Kevin said walking towards me with Ethan. "Hey." I said. "How's it going?" Ethan asked. "Good." I said. "You and Riley a thing?" Ethan asked. "No." I shook my head. "You guys could be a pretty good couple though." Kevin said lowering his voice as Ethan nodded. I laughed. "So would you and Emily." Kevin nodded.
"Guys, let's dance." Tracy said. We all walked over to the dance floor and began to dance to a random slow song that was playing. I placed my hands on Riley's waist and she put her arms around my neck. We didn't say anything but I kept staring at her.
"What?" she asked. "Nothing. You just look amazing." I said. She blushed again. "You don't look too bad yourself." she said. Throughout the dance we took pictures, ate food, and danced some more. And I'm pretty sure someone brought alcohol. But it was honestly the best day of my life so far.
"I'll be back." Riley told me. "Okay." I said nodding. Suddenly Ruby came into Riley's place. "Hi, Peter. You look nice tonight." She smiled. "Thanks. So do you" I said a bit awkwardly. She wore a white dress with lace covering the torso of the dress. "Where's Riley?" she asked. "She'll be back." I said.
Ruby then fell and I caught her by her waist. "You okay?" I asked. "Yeah." she smiled.
