*Riley's POV*
"So how did you like breakfast?" Peter asked as he laid on the couch. "It was nice." I smiled as I laid next to him. "I don't want to go to school Monday." Peter whined. "You have to." I said. Peter's phone buzzed. He checked it and threw it on the cushion next to him. "What is it?" I asked. "Ruby just texted me and said I have to tutor her tomorrow." he sighed.
"Oh..." I trailed. I felt a stab of jealousy for some reason. He wrapped his arm around me and brought me closer to his chest. "Ruby's just a friend. Nothing more. I promise." he said to me. I nodded and then his phone rang.
"What now." Peter groaned. He checked his phone and I saw the brightness in his face fall. "What?" I asked. "It's my dad..." he said. "What are you going to do?" I asked. "Answer it I guess." He said answering the phone and putting it on speaker.
"Hello?" Peter said. There wasn't any sound. "Peter." said a voice. "Dad..." Peter trailed. I could tell he was trying to hold back tears. "Where have you been?" he asked. "Um, I've been out...for awhile." Peter said. "Are you gonna come back?" his dad asked. "No." Peter said sternly.
"And why not?" his dad said raising his voice a little. "You treat me like crap." Peter said. "If you don't come home I swear-" Peter hung up the phone-cutting him off. "Peter. You just hung up." I said. "I don't want to talk to him." Peter sighed.
"Now what?" I asked. "Mmmm? Can you sing?" He asked me. "Yeah." I said. "Sing for me." he said turning to me. "What do you what me to sing?" I asked.
"Any song you want." He smiled. "Okay." I said. I thought for awhile on what song I wanted to sing. "Have one?" Peter asked me. I nodded. I then began to sing:
You know just what to say
Things, that scares me, I should just walk away
But I can't move my feet
The more that I know you, the more I want to
Something inside me's changed
I was so much younger yesterday, oh
I didn't know that I was starving till I tasted you
Don't need no butterflies when you give me the whole damn zoo
By the way, by the way, you do things to my body
I didn't know that I was starving till I tasted you
Opening my eyes, I found him smiling at me. "What?" I asked. "Nothing, that was amazing..." he said. "Thanks." I said as I felt a smile play on my lips.

I felt rays of sun hit my face as I rolled over in bed. It's Sunday. I smiled to myself as I remembered yesterday. Peter and I watched a movie then he took me to the park. I should go see him today. Finding my phone I went to our chat.
Riley: Hey. Wanna hang out today?
I waited a few minutes until he answered.
Peter: Sorry, I can't. I have to tutor Ruby, remember?
I felt my heart drop. I completely forgot he had to tutor Ruby today. I texted him that it was okay and I put my phone down. I felt the stab of jealousy again. The fact that he was spending time with another girl at her house made me feel upset.
I tried to convince myself that they were just friends but what if he finds out that she's so much better than me and he fall for her. Would he forget about me?
