Peter's Secret

Chapter Sixteen

*Riley's POV*

"Hey girls." I said walking up to Alyssa and Emily at Emily's locker. "Hey." They both said in unison. "Okay so Sadie was thinking that we go shopping for dresses since the dance is like in two days." Alyssa said.

"What!" I said. "Time flies. I know." Emily agreed. "Okay. Are we going to the mall?" I asked. "Yeah." Emily nodded. "Alright. Is it just the girls?" I said. Alyssa nodded. "Cool." I smiled. Girl's Night.

The bell rang for us to get to class and Emily and I walked to first period. "How was your day yesterday? Did you get to talk to Peter?" she asked. "Yeah. We hung out yesterday." I said. "What'd you guys do?" she asked with a bit excitement in her voice. "Nothing much. We went to the ice cream place across town then we hung out at his house." I said recalling our day.

"Really?" she gasped. "Yes." I said. "What happened?" she bubbled. "Nothing really." I laughed. "No no no. I need all the details." she said shaking her head. I thought about telling her. I would never tell her about Peter's abuse, I guess i'll just have to leave it out.

"Fine. So when we got to his house there was nothing really to do so we just laid on his bed and talked but then he got hot and he took off his sweater and shirt and then he laid back down but that was pretty much it." I said bluntly.

"You're joking? Did it looked like he worked out?" she giggled. I bit my lip to keep myself from smiling. I never realized his body looked like that until yesterday and not gonna lie I had a hard time not starring. "He was beautiful." I smiled. Emily squealed. "I'm telling the girls this later."

"How about this dress?" Sadie asked as she came out the dressing room in a pretty strapless dark purple dress. "Woah. You look amazing." Tracy gushed. "Awesome. I'm keeping it." Sadies said going back in the room. Once she changed she came out with the dress on the hanger in her hand. "Alright. We have a dress for everyone except for Riley." Emily smiled.

"We could go look in Macy's because it shouldn't be that cheap." Alyssa smiled. "Okay." I laughed. We paid for Sadie's dress then went to Macy's across the mall. Once in there we began the search for a dress.

Finding multiple, I tried them out. The first was a white dress with a black bow on the waistline. Not liking this one I tried on another. Next was a light pink dress rhinestones on the front. "It doesn't really match your skin tone." Emily said as I turned around so they could see all of the dress. "Next one." Tracy called.

I went back in the dressing room and tried on a few more dresses. Trying on a dress I walked outside to see the girls. "Woah..." Emily and Tracy said as Alyssa and Sadie stood breathless. "Is it that bad?" I asked. "I-It's amazing." Tracy stuttered. "Buy it." Sadie squealed. I nodded then went back in the dressing room.

Looking in the body length mirror I stood in a two piece dark blue dress. It looked amazing. I took the dress off and changed back in my original clothes and went to pay for the dress.

Getting home I put the dress in my closet and laid on my bed. Finding the purple plush bear that Peter got me I cuddled with it and opened my phone. Seeing I had a message from Peter a few hours ago I replied immediately.

Riley: Sorry I was out shopping with my friends for a dress for the dance on Friday

He answered a few minutes later:

Peter: There's a dance?

Riley: Yeah. You should come. The group all plans on going. They want you too
