*Peter's POV*
"You can drop me off here." I said pointing to my house. Ethan stopped the car. "Did you have fun?" He asked. "Yeah. Today was good." I said looking out the window. "You'll have to join us another time. Your pretty cool to hang with." Kevin said. "Thanks." I nodded. I opened the door and got out. "Thanks for the ride." I said to Ethan. "No problem." He said driving off.
I checked the time and I had 5 minutes until 7:00. Opening the door I crept in trying not to make much noise. "Wow, you're finally on time." my dad said from behind me. I turned around and he was holding a can of beer.
"I guess." I said quietly. "Where were you?" He asked walking closer to me. "I went to the fair with my friends." I said not looking at him. He took the picture strip from me. "Who's this?" He said, his voice getting darker. "No one." I lied. "Doesn't seem like just no one to you." He said examining the pictures
"She's just a friend. Nothing more." I said taking the picture strip back. "You're still mine, right?" He asked. I froze. I hated when he used that. I wasn't his. "Yeah." I said walking up the stairs.
I got to my room and locked the door. I hung the pictures I had of today on an empty bulletin board. I never really had anything worth putting up but now I do. I stuck the two pictures up with a tac and sat on my bed and looked at them.
Tomorrow was Wednesday. Wednesdays are the best days of the week for me because my dad's not home all day. Tomorrow would be stress free.

I woke up to my alarm clock ringing. I got up to turn it off. Checking the time on my phone it was 6:00. I went to my closet then got out denim jeans and a white t-shirt. I took a shower then got dressed. Looking in the mirror, I had multiple bruises on my arms and I knew I had more on my chest and back. I put on my sweater then went downstairs.
I made myself some cereal and sat down at the table. Normally I can't sit down and eat so it was nice to finally enjoy breakfast. My phone pinged and it was a text from Riley.
Riley: Morning
Peter: Morning
Riley: Ready for school?
Peter: I guess
I finished my cereal and walked out the door. My phone pinged again.
Riley: Want to facetime?
Peter: Sure
A few seconds later my phone rang and I swiped the answer button. "Hey." she said. "Hi." "Can we still hang out today?" She asked. "Yeah, definitely." I answered. "Are you walking?" she asked me. "Yeah." I said. "Do you live far?" she said. It looked like she was in her bathroom doing her hair.
"Uh, I guess. I mean not something you'd want to walk." I shrugged. "Mhmmm." she nodded brushing her hair. "Riley, get out the bathroom!" someone off camera said. "Ugh, Calm down Camron. I've only been in here for two minutes." she protested. I laughed. "That was my brother. He takes forever in the bathroom so I got here first." she explained.
"Who are you talking to?" he said banging on the door. "No one." she called. She put her hair brush down then sprayed her hair. "How long does it take you to do your hair?" I asked. "Like three minutes." she shrugged. She grabbed the phone then opened the door. "Gosh, you take forever." he said. "Please." Riley shrugged him off.
She began walking through the house until she got to another room. "Wanna see my room?" she asked. "Sure." I said. She flipped the camera around and rotated her phone to show me. The walls were baby pink and she had a white dresser by the door, a desk on the wall to the left and her bed in against the back wall in the center.
