*Peter's POV*
I checked my phone for the 20th time today to check if I was heading the right way. Seeing I was at the right place. I knocked on the door to the house. A few minutes later Ruby opened the door. She was wearing a black crop top with denim shorts and her hair was curled. "Peter, you're here." she smiled. "Yeah." I shrugged.
Honestly I don't want to be here. I could be doing so much better things with my life like skateboarding or watching a movie or hanging out with Riley. She led me through her house and up to her room.
The walls were white with gold dots scattering the walls. Her bed was an elegant white and light pink with a plethora of pillows against the headboard. She had a small light pink dresser with a brown-framed mirror hanging right above it.
A curling iron and makeup was sitting on top of the dresser and a tall green plant sat in the corner near a white throw rug.
"We can sit on my bed. I mean I don't have a desk so..." she tried as she sat on the bed. I put my backpack down and sat down on the farther side of the bed.
"Okay so what did the teacher say you needed help with?" I asked. "Oh yeah I need help with life science." she said picking up a textbook.
"So is like the subject hard in general or do you not understand a certain subject?" I asked looking through the textbook. "Um basically everything that will be on the test." she said scooting closer to me. "Alright." I said ignoring her action and taking out the study guide for the test from my backpack.
"Okay so we're working on review for the circulatory system. Now do you know all the parts to the circulatory system?" I asked her. "Yeah. I just don't know what the roles are." she said. "Okay so the heart is basically the power house and it pumps blood to all of the vessels."I explained.
I felt her scoot even closer to me. "So like it brings blood to all of the vessels which moves blood throughout our bodies?" Ruby said.
I nodded as I looked over the study guide. "So is Riley like your girlfriend or something?" she asked. She put her hand on my arm and I felt uncomfortable. "Stop." I said.
"So you're not dating Riley?" she asked again. "Um..." I stuttered. How do I answer that? I know if I say no then she'll try something but if I say yes she'll probably ask Riley if we are and she'll say no. "So are you?" she asked again. Drastic times call for drastic measures. "Yes." I said scooting away from her.
"Oh. So she'd be mad if I did this?" she smirked as she kissed my cheek. "Stop. I don't like you." I almost shouted. I got up and put the study guide in my backpack and started to walk out the room. "Peter." she said shocked. I walked downstairs and out the house.
I began walking to Hunter's place. Getting there I laid on my bed and took out my phone and went to Riley's contact. Calling her she picked up after a few rings.
"Hey, what's up?" she asked. "Nothing much. Just got done at Ruby's." I said. "What's wrong? You sound upset." she said concerned.
"Uh. I probably shouldn't tell you over the phone but do you want to hang out?" I asked. "Yeah. I can come over if you want." she said. "Okay. See you." I said. I then hung up the phone and waited for her.
Around thirty minutes later she arrived and I heard Hunter open the door for her. "Hey." she said laying down on my bed next to me. "Everything okay?" she asked. "Yeah." I shrugged as I sat up against the headboard.
"What happened?" she said sitting up to. "Ruby makes me uncomfortable. She kissed me on the cheek and I kind of told her something I shouldn't have." I said looking down and playing with the strings on my jacket.
